  1. Me too. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, you could have predicted the first 3 subs last night but after them we are giving Cornick 10 minutes & the rest are really only there to fill the bench. Roberts might get a game at Forest with Pring suspended, but we are effectively running on 13 or 14 outfield players & that is bound to have an impact. Could do with Sykes back & (obviously) Twine too.
  2. Struggling to see how a guy breaking his ankle over 25 years ago is relevant. None of the others named previously above were in the recent past, either. There was a huge injury list late in Holden’s time but otherwise we really aren’t an outlier at all.
  3. The second, yes. The first? No chance.
  4. As has been pointed out by @Northern Red the people losing their shit over a draw against a side who are unbeaten in their last 12 are the same people predicting a pasting at 7.30 when the team was announced.
  5. Outstanding against Sunderland & Boro too. They’re all out tonight..
  6. Definitely out of play for the first, second was onside.
  7. Yep, he was one of many expecting a comfortable 3-0 win beforehand. Go back to the start of this thread, absolutely full of people delighted Bell started & expecting us to piss the game. Coventry unbeaten in 12 but what does that mean?
  8. How can anyone seriously say that about Wells after tonight? Horseshit about Max, as well.
  9. Good point, pretty sure I remember a 2-2 up there in the past..
  10. Plus some doubt as to whether the ball was out of play in the build up to their goal. Sure we have had previous with Leigh Doughty, seems to be giving them nearly every marginal decision. Think we started really well & would have been unlucky to have been behind at the break.
  11. To be completely honest at times this season (like when we ripped Swansea & Plymouth apart) yes, at others no. Sam has a 100% availability record this season, he’s also the only outfield player to have been on the pitch for some part of every single league game. I run a big team for my job & the people who work for me that I like the most are the ones who come in every single day, not the ones who are good at their job but I can’t ever rely on to do so. Our squad is small, as usual tonight’s bench includes two totally inexperienced youngsters & Andy King. This nonsense about him not being good enough is childish, two very different managers have consistently picked him, at 21 he’s already played far more Championship football than his Dad ever did. I am far more frustrated by Naismith’s consistently poor availability record than anything Sam does.
  12. Yep & also know Pring & TGH can’t face Forest. I predicted 10/11 of this side, (thought McCrorie would play) but am fully behind being sensible with him & can guess the reaction on here if he pulled up in the first half..
  13. Absolutely, plus it is sensible to rotate the squad & being able to bring on the likes of Conway, James & McCrorie is decent.
  14. Because Sam Pearson definitely would have scored 4 Championship goals in his first 9 games this season.. That’s why he’s playing National League South. Truly embarrassing, there are several who are equally obsessed with Cornick but you know far more than Pearson or Manning who have both picked him, so pile on to an Academy product who is definitely a valuable squad player.
  15. The overreaction to this news is mental. It’s like we are the only club to ever have a player out injured. Atkinson & Sykes are both on the way back, one of the others who is absent (Benarous) has only started 7 league games ever, I’d say the amount of players we are currently missing is probably around average for a Championship team.
  16. Interesting side. Would have rested Conway & James myself, McCrorie is logical too in view of the time he’s been out. Lot of games coming up & will need every senior player at some point.
  17. Last season on the BBC Championship page at one stage there were 5 stories out of the top 7 either about Cardiff or Swansea. Ridiculous, disproportionate coverage & funding.
  18. Wait until you find out despite having only 4 league clubs they have at least one designated BBC reporter at every single game home or away, even in League Two. This game on the BBC page is being reported by Michael Pearlman (BBC Wales) with Ashley Williams for MOTD, Andy Morrell for BBC Radio Wales & someone called Nia Jones for MOTD Wales.. It’s almost like they get a hugely disproportionate amount of funding for the sport media or something, oh they actually do.
  19. **** off Wrexham. What a load an inordinate lot of hype for a fourth division team that lost to Newport recently, just because two ******* actors watch them.
  20. Danny Murphy- personality free zone. Delaney at the back or Will Evans for me.
  21. These clubs absolutely hate each other. City Rovers, Blackburn Burnley, as someone who spent two years living that way, it’s a really intense one on a par with that.
  22. Tough half for him, but he’s won a couple of decent headers & also worth remembering he’s being marked by a bloke who won the World Cup & a signing from Real Madrid. Lots of hard running chasing shadows but only to be expected with the vast gap in quality between the sides.
  23. Are you serious? Firstly you cannot play against your parent club anyway. Secondly the likelihood of it being these two clubs in the next round must be in the thousands to one. We have about a 10% chance at Forest, Newport have about a 2% chance today.
  24. My thoughts too. Players back from AFCON, no Pring or TGH (though Williams returning certainly doesn’t weaken us there), think Friday was our best chance.
