We played Barned in 1989/90 season and Gary Bull played in that one. 2-0 at the Gate.

Good thing that Joe Jordan (player/manager) wasn't banned for this one.....

      - you know...

The old hitting Barned Doors with Banned Joe's thing! :)

When I become King, as I surely will, I will ban that 'kin song. Then I'll sell Wales.

I'd let them keep it , they don't realise how much they embarrass themselves when they sing it .

I quite like The Green Green Grass Of Home when Tom sings it though... ;)

(but..the Gas can shove 'Irene' up their asses and set it on fire! )

Oxford fans on their forums saying

” The Mem is a circus”

    Tents here there everywhere

Obviously didn't appreciate Gas efforts to make their Uni student town visitors feel at home... ffs The Mem has even been transformed into a virtual CAMP US … what more could Wally have done for 'em?  … Some people eh?

Bit far fetched isn't this? Didn't think they had an "inside"

Is that why they like their contracts to be 'watertight' …. so they don't disintegrate in rain if the tents leak?

I was brought up to believe that wherever R*vers were squatting at the time was full of s**t, c**** and w*****s.

I see no reason to change that view.

Sounds like a dodgy early home life then.... despite that you thrived and went on to join the Red Arrows as a pilot I see..

    Who'd have thunk it?  :ermm:

Oh no I’m not! I’d be happy to do DNA tests on Jeremy Kyle to prove it!

you would have to have Robbored on as well but don't worry he will drive.

Is Jeremy related to Robbored then or to you?

This could get messy and lead to expensive and protracted legal argument if we are not careful here...

From Jeremy Kyle to Who Do You Think You Are, the debates can fill our TV screens for months ultimately leading to court appearances on Judge Rimmer, or potential appeals heard by Judge Rudie.

And Burton have actually made it to the Championship, so should be considered the big club experiencing hard times :)

Some of them who like a bit of egg chasing wont even come to support the Bears, how sad is that?

That's because they're under the misapprehension that the Bristol 'Bears' are a naturist rugby club and they don't think nudism has a place in British sport..

You sure their latent support is not lay- tent ?

No doubt the missing hoards of Gasheads and their offspring from the 'glory-days' at Eastville are still around somewhere. Thing is time waits for no man and, the ones that are still alive, aren't spring chickens anymore... The days of happily slumming & roughing it for most of them are long gone... the idea of one man tents and sleeping bags of the youthful sixties just wont do anymore and no longer appeal...

That's obviously why nowadays they stay home within a few paces of a warm toilet with their electric blankets and radios.... They'd resume their in person support of their blue 'n white heroes again if only the facilities resembled 21st century 'glamping' rather than 1960's carry on camping... but that aint gonna happen.

Football has, for the rest of us, moved on bigtime in terms of facilities and we love it but for Gasheads who still hanker after an occasional live game of football sadly for them a visit to Ashton Gate  even to support the opposition is out of the question. This due to their inherent lack of sophistication the comparative hotel like quality of The Gate is a step too far removed from their simple roots and they wouldn't cope with the culture shock of it all.

So the vast hoards of latent Gasheads, they're like sleeper cells of subversives remain undercover and out if sight, with little chance of re-emerging into the light... A severely threatened species in danger of extinction much.

    Sad really..... :rofl2br: innit

So in summary, they’ve had, as you say, three shots at tier two, in the fifties, seventies and nineties, staying for nine, seven and three years, respectively, and haven’t been higher than tier three for a quarter of a century (but have paid visits to tiers four and five in that time. Blimey, that’s even worse than I’d thought.

Tiers for Souvenirs are all their left with,

But Tiers can't mend a broken club they must confess...

Oh fyck where's The Diddy Men when ya need 'em..

Went into Swindon tonight and .......there is a Circus at the STFC Car Park...how ******* appropriate. How long before our Gaseous friends do summat similar

I think they do, a couple of times each month on their playing field.... it's widely known about because it's witnessed by dozens of people each time... I don't think the clowns are very good though.
