    Pleased for him.

On a selfish note not such good news for us. Injuries, tiredness, Afcon etc. Still, I hope he has a successful time with them.

Do Kenya tend to qualify for AFCON?

I can only imagine the ONYEGO sales have been through the roof in Kenya and they found out who he was.

Pep has taken the spark out of Grealish, and even Haaland. Both have become part of the machine which is Man City, which is a shame to be honest.

Grealish is a good player. He'll end up at another top club, Spurs, Villa will all snap him up for the right cost. Need to see the old Jack who played with swagger again, the bloke who was not scared to take a man on and put him on his arse.

Very harsh judgement on Pep. Last season when they won the treble Grealish was outstanding. Started most weeks and was an important part of their success.

This season has been start stop for Grealish due to injuries. He hasn’t been able to get a decent run in the side. It’s just the way it goes. Nothing to do with Pep.

Same with Haaland. He never had a spark. He is just a brute force who scores goals. When he doesn’t he looks like every other footballer. Trouble is he has spent so much time scoring goals you haven’t noticed this until recently.

If you were to have used Kelvin Phillips as an example then you could have had a point.

  3. Found the whole build up to this quite strange.

Little around Man City or the game itself. Everything about ETH. It appears he is gone regardless of the result today. The whole thing is going to turn quite sour.

This kid is ridiculous. Not seen anyone like him in any Sport for a long time to be that good at 17.

Fair play to Humphries too. Class, and has made this a compelling rivalry.

MVG said he was better at that age 🤣

    Some interesting calls and omissions.

4-3-3ish seems a way to go..Bellingham in a midfield 3 rather than the front 3 surely.

On a very vaguely City related note, has Scott slipped down the pecking order a bit? Wharton in ahead of him albeit Scott has had injuries in parirudsr this year- relative lack of game time at times too.

Yes but it’s not surprising given the injury hit season Scott has had. He should take the positives from Wharton being called up as it shows the opportunity is there.

No reason why Scott couldn’t be one of the names mentioned when discussing England squads in the future if he stays injury free.

I think Williams has stepped up a gear over the last ten or so games of the season. He’s getting his mojo back after suffering from those injuries and actually has that dirty / aggressive edge which we have lacked for years.

I think it’s a bad thing he’s going especially with James gone. He does have a lot of experience at this level too. I think if we replaced him with someone better it would cost us a lot.

And Naismith haha…I keep forgetting he still plays for us.

He has played well in games, but also had bad games as well. I just don’t think losing him is the end of the world.

And like I said recently about Matty James, there is a reason Williams is being linked with Preston and not Burnley, Shef Utd or other promotion hopefuls. It’s because he isn’t good enough to be part of a team serious about promotion.

If you’ve just got badly relegated (miles adrift at the bottom) I think you would want supporters to have some confidence you had a plan to return.

This is probably done to help sell season tickets for a relatively small club in a poor part of the country.

With the likes of Bolton, Huddersfield, Birmingham, Barnsley & the media’s favourite club (Wrexham) as competition they know it will be tough.

They aren’t naming anyone, so can’t see the harm in it.

But surely the medical results are the biggest part of a transfer. As a fan you be more annoyed if they announced no one as they failed their medical? Maybe even question if it was ever true. Can’t see news of maybe signing someone boosting season ticket sales.

  8. This randomly popped up on my ‘X’ timeline a moment ago…

I don’t remember many clubs announcing transfer news like this. Would there be any reason for it? Surely wait for the medicals and announce once the signing is confirmed?

To some degree that depends on what happens in the transfer window too, if we happen to get twine, plus another 3-4 million on a striker, and a million or 2 on a winger, then there wont be much patience, if those type of signings dont happen, im not sure liam will wait long enough to be fired. The thing is, even with those signings i just dont see us challenging, because we never do.

That’s up to those in charge. So if Manning fails, so do they.

  10. This is perfect to me and despite all the criticism, at least JL has set the marker. We’ve given Liam 6 months to adapt and learn the league, we now expect results.

As said above, the first 10 games will be huge next season, even more so now in my book.

If after 10 games we are in the playoff mix, job is being done. Next review would be Christmas time, are we still there. If we are not in play off contention at either of these two checkpoints, sorry Liam but your head is on the line.

  11. Well done Man City. Just about deserved it over the season. As long as it’s not Liverpool or Arsenal winning the league I couldn’t care who does.

Foden is some player. Looking forward to Southgate starting him on the bench and playing Rashford instead come the euros.

My opinions are probably biased because I'm friends with family of Furys and have met him a few times in pasding. I have nothing but good things to say.

You have to remember part of it is all an act and also the mental illness.

Just find it very bizarre how a British person would actively support the opponent.

In my opinion, boxing, like darts, is about supporting the person, not the country.

Bit different if you are watching Olympic boxing where they are representing the country. Otherwise it’s all down to the person.

For example, I’ll support anyone whose fighting AJ regardless of where they are from!

Didn’t you do a big ‘look at me’ topic about how bad ‘Manningball’ was after the Stoke game and you weren’t going to bother for a couple of years?

    That didn’t last long! 😆

Haha, fairs. Manningball is bad but not bad enough to miss a good away day.

My issue is with the owners, which was the main reason for not renewing my season.

The kassam is one of the most souless grounds there is, the quicker they get a new ground Nd the better.

On a side note, I feel like I've just spent £42 on watching an Oxford training session.

Can’t be worse than West Ham surely?

Assume you aren't on social media? Inescapable on twitter. On BBC Sounds you'll find several Bunce pods from this week too.

I am. It was only when John Fury head butted someone a couple of days ago I realised the fight was this week

Word seems to be that Wolves need 13 others to vote to get rid, and they won't come close. VAR is here to stay, it seems.

Yep, needs a two thirds vote to pass.

They will publish who voted what and then throughout the coming season we should monitor how many times someone who voted to keep VAR moan about it!
