  1. Reminds me of a Union conference from the 1980s
  2. Yes, but it's a right pane in the arse.
  3. We had one against Walsall to decide where to play our 3rd play off final match.
  4. Six stands! Maybe they could do a deal with Northampton.
  5. The charts just as I finished my A Levels. A couple of dark years for chart music was to come (Mr Blobby/Barbie Girl absolute Kak), until it all came alive again around 95/96.
  6. I think the clubs origins are in Mangotsfield. Whether Ashley Down was in Gloucestershire when they started playing there I don't know.
  7. I think we stuck 4 past them at Trumpton in the Glos Cup in the summer of 1990, just after THAT match.
  8. Mr Barton was "still very worked up" and used some foul language towards Mr Stendel, which he "did not fully understand but realised he was being insulted". You what!
  9. Time for a premature imaginary pitch invasion.
  10. A Swindon win later and they'll have to win their last 2 games to avoid finishing bottom.
  11. Curtis helping Rovers to "just move on down"
  12. It's not 1990 any more. Not much visible presence in these parts. It's like they've disappeared under a sea of red.
  13. I reckon they'll still be 6 points adrift after Tuesday, relegated at the weekend.
  14. Looks like he's considering swapping his cap for the sailors hat. The picture gets weirder/funnier every time I look at it !
  15. You'd be hard pressed to find the blue side of the river now.
  16. Chas and Dave could write a song about it. It's lucky for the Gas when the year ends in one.......................
  17. Probably not for a dustbin thread, but Ryan Day, son of recently departed ex Rovers player Graham Day is teaming up with schools to collect unwanted kids football boots for disadvantaged children in Bristol to use. A worthy cause to support I think. Regarding his father Graham, I remember him running the Flowerpot pub. Even though he knew we were City fans, we always had a warm welcome and he liked to have a chat with us. One of the good ones.
  18. You've got to pity them. Comment from Asschat: Does anyone know what the seated capacity is? 25% of seated capacity means we'll barely get 500?
