Lucky Bournemouth fans, what a team they've got. Reaping the benefits of taking their chance when it came along. Unlike us, who twice decided not to answer the door when opportunity came knocking.
Personally I'm a fan of history and encourage all forms of it.
Playing devils advocate here, how many people know much more than their grandparents, 1066 and the Great Fire of London? Is the "you don't know where you're going until you know where you've come from" over played? Don't many people of all backgrounds go through life with very little knowledge of their own or their families past? Is the past really the place to look to solve the issues Troy has raised?
Not sure what life's like on the Death Star, but if you think there isn't a cost of living crisis, you must truly be on a different planet.
People you see spending lots of money, probably aren't the ones hardest hit.
I always liked watching Tony Daley. Pace, could turn defenders inside out and scored some great goals. Would love to see someone like that at city, someone that got you out of your seat when they got the ball.
Thanks for posting this, I've never seen it before. A lot of finger pointing and pretty unpleasant. How old was Clive Whitehead when they give him an 11 year contract?
If we follow that trend, we could be in for another 17/18 next season (hopefully without the collapse).
I'm not saying we're promotion contenders at the moment, but how much better would we look if we could defend crosses? A few good signings could make all the difference. The big thing for me is that I'm now enjoying some of the games as opposed to none of them !
That's the bit that concerns me still a little. When Big Ben strikes on 1st January we seem to fall apart and are capable of going 9/10 games and barely picking up a point. If we can reach the dizzy heights of 4 wins across the first 2 months of the year I'll feel a bit more comfortable !
I'm not sure who would audit us either, but I think there is a case for some kind of non-executive director to say "stop, what are you doing?".
I also think the accountability point is a good one, the best run organisations live by it.
That certainly caught my eye. Look at the weekly wage from 2017 to 2021 and think of the quality of football on show in that period, unbelievable is the right word. The cost per shot on target chart must look horrific.
