I’m fed up with watching what Manning is serving up but will definitely renew. Why? Because it’s my club and it’s what I do.

If you think that he is the sort of person that would do that (and even I don't), then why the **** are you even defending him??!!
You’re missing the point.
He is literally the only bloke who is keeping the club afloat. There is no one else waiting in the wings waiting to pay £20 or 30 million every year to write off our debts to keep the club going.- 1

Well, just as we can't make him go, he can't just say "**** this, I'm off" (although mentally I think he already has). He needs a buyer.
And that buyer... is who.
Of course he can. He’s got enough money to just write us off. We’d be knackered then.

Almost anyone.
It’s not anyone who has got £100,000,000.
ask yourself what would we do if Lansdown said **** this I’m off. Who’d cover the £20 or 30 million loss every season?- 1

Am I not allowed to express discontent unless I have?
Talk about a dictatorship.
I’ll ask you again who do you want to take over?

I've already stopped going.
Until the Lansdowns leave.
So who do you want to take over? Perhaps you’ve got about £100,000,000 to make bid.

I do wonder if Lansclown was 'that' boy on the playground who brought his ball along & when things didn't go his way promptly took it home & is now continuing in the same vein in adulthood
Why do you find it necessary to be so unnecessarily rude?

Look, I'm sorry Liam, but this tactic won't work(much like many of your other ones!).
Yes, a large part of the blame lies further up the chain, but this doesn't change the fact the team are repeatedly given tactics that simply don't work and don't entertain. Being angry with the board doesn't absolve Captain Mainwaring from blame as well.
I thought we did entertain tonight. I was there, although bitterly disappointed I was certainly entertained particularly in the 2nd half after easily containing Ipswich before ht.

I think you have all completely missed my irony.
I made it clear ages ago I want the Lansdowns to go, but their fan club trot out Tan (who as many have pointed out has twice got Cardiff to the Prem) as some sort of reason we should stick with our clueless owners.
Are you interested in buying the club then?

Bullshit. Lansdown has had 20 years, and nothing has changed on the pitch. We will continue on a downward trajectory with the Lansdowns at the helm. Sell up, and **** off!
Are you going to buy it?

We have more chance of points against ipswich and swansea than we do against cardiff and qpr,,, they are much more open in their play and we can compete better against that sort of side
Points vs Ipswich. Are you having a laugh?

He saves decent shots any other championship keeper would ,where he fails is he makes more mistakes than other championship keepers. He's league 1 .

The 5th round victory at Elland Road in 1974 against a then mighty Leeds, who were up to that point unbeaten in league & cup, always seems to be underplayed in the annals of cup upsets. Are City planning a 50th anniversary tribute?
I was there. That victory has to be the best away win in my 66 years following City.

Tinnion and Lansdown can’t allow Manning to fail by finishing lower than Pearson so loan signing sanctioned.

Steve- Time to sell and leave.
So Steve has to sell up and leave. That means someone has to what to buy the club off him. Unless you have a few hundred million stashed away somewhere.

Press play and you can watch both goals. No penalty

I was at that match stood down the open end with my old Dad.
If I recall correctly Peter Cormack, who we signed from Liverpool, scored both of the goals. One a penalty?- 1

Do grown adults actually find this “crayon” jibe funny? That said, some people actually find Mrs Browns Boys funny, so I suppose that answers my own question.
I don’t find it funny at all. In fact I find it rude, embarrassing and totally disrespectful to Jon and the Lansdown family. IMO If they stopped funding the debt we’d be screwed.

I agree with the poster who said that the problems started when Richard Gould left.
I also think that some of the comments on this thread about Jon Lansdown are both embarrassing and childish.- 9

In fairness, there are only so many times you can watch Tanner turn back to face his own goal and pass to Vyner without feeling like giving up caring about anything.
With Sykes on the left and Weinman I’ve no idea where (did buggar all ) Tanner could either pass it back to Vyner or morph into Karl Walker and beat 2 or 3 defenders then cross it into the box.

The thing I remember most about Gary Stanley, apart from him being virtually pointless. Was during one game ,which so so memorable that I've forgotten who it was against, he was on the bench and stood to warm up. Big shout from the crowd of "sit down Stanley" , in my memory he actually sat back down, though it was a long time ago.
In my opinion "Bang average" is being too kind.
Ray Attaveld wasn’t any better either.

Can't help feeling the addition of 17 year olds(that hadn't even played for the under 21s) on the bench for a number of games instead of players like Francois, OTC, Leeson etc was some sort of NP's hostile message to the board about lack of players.
Certainly it would have annoyed Tinnion (in my view) that players from the Under 21s weren't getting a look in and NP was using the under 18s to make a point.
Was always going to be one winner there and it wasn't NP.
Re annoying Tinnion.
For me I’d always take Pearsons decisions rather than Tinnion.
Let’s face it he played consistently at a higher level, has huge experience of managing several clubs and numerous players ( including internationals) over many years, rather than managing for just a few months like Tinnion and unfortunately failing dramatically.Pearson developed academy players and sold them for millions and integrated many academy players into the 1st team squad so surely his achievements associated to the academy and selection of young players are beyond criticism.
Incredible that perhaps annoying Tinnion (and goodness knows how he managed to get the job of Technical Director) might have contributed to Pearson losing his job.- 5

So Mehmeti is awful, Bell misses an absolute sitter, Weinman had another shocker and frankly looks finished, Tanner is probably league 1 and fans pile in on O’Leary.

I think I heard Ian say that Tinnion had nothing to do with the appointment of Manning. I’m normally defender of Ian but that has to be nonsense. How the hell can the most senior football person at the club not be involved. In fact I’d probably put money on that Tinnion was instrumental in identifying Manning to the board.
