  1. What a shit Ref for the 2nd half. Yellow cards for slight shirt pulls for us, but rake studs down a shin or grab someones face, didn't see it. Well played City.
  2. That spell of Turner & Taylor up front was special. I was going everywhere around then and it was really enjoyable . Haven't always been able to say that.
  3. TBF Gary Johnson tripped a player celebrating a goal and Lee Johnson swang someone his own size around like a ballboy , so there's previous here
  4. Well, they've apparently released info. I can't get on the site though. Probably too many glory hunters after tickets ?
  5. Saw this Tweet and thought I'd stick it here instead of starting a new thread. 30 players ? Can that be right ? I'd like to see them go down and see what sort of fire sale they'd need to comply with FFP etc.
  6. Was that the game we were in caged sections on the side ? Remember the plastic pitch, I thought we lost though. EDIT Just looked it up, the game I was thinking of was the year before. Jan 88/89 lost 2-0
  7. I was thinking short term. Be interesting to see how things change over the next few games.
  8. Bench looks decent. Haikin, DaSilva, Kalas, Cornick, Mehmeti, Weimann, Williams. Balance , game changers and can cover most positions.
  9. I haven't seen lots of him, but at over 6' and he say B2B, that is exactly what everyone would want in a midfielder. Seen nothing of Taylor - Clarke, but listening to that Swansea game sounded like he enjoys a tackle. I have my fingers crossed for these two to advance and "make it".
  10. Could be a good move, hopefully gets plenty of football and builds him up for a crack at the first team next year. Does mean I'll have to keep an eye on Swindon though and not just smile when I see they've lost. ******************************** Swindon Town have snapped up young Bristol City ace Dylan Kadji on loan, subject to EFL approval. The 19-year-old will spend the remainder of the current season at the County Ground. The six-foot two-inch midfielder has come through the Championship sides youth academy, signing his first professional contract back in November 2021.He’s gone on to make two senior appearances for Nigel Pearson’s first-team, and has been singled out by his manager on numerous occasions for some impressive displays on the pitch and during a pre-season training camp last year.As well as a loan spell at National League South side Bath City last term, where he made six appearances and featured against Chippenham Town, he netted seven minutes into his senior Bristol City debut in August last year in a 3-1 win over Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park in the EFL Trophy.Town Technical Director, Sandro Di Michele, said: “Dylan is a very talented, combative young player that comes to the club highly recommended.“He brings versatility and tenacity that will no doubt excite Swindon Town fans.”Upon completing his Swindon move, Dylan commented: “I’m delighted to get this over the line. Everyone has been really welcoming since I’ve come in today and this seems a great environment to develop.“I like to get on the ball and am a typical box to box midfielder with energy and goals, so I can’t wait to show the Town fans what I can and what I’m capable of.”
  11. He'll probably try to take the taste away by licking windows.
  12. TBF, he does have books, and he hasn't finished colouring some of them in.
  13. You'll be getting a DM from @Rudolf Hucker soon
  14. I have a soft spot for Wycombe. always enjoyed that trip and the gAss hate them. Good enough for me. Interesting post on Twitter.
  15. For once, God help me, I'm 100% with Robbored. Until I see it confirmed on the OS I'm not counting Chickens or getting any hopes up. That said maybe Joe Sims knows something ?
  16. On the calendar its got all the ties on the Monday. TV will pick and choose and decide when they are played.
  17. That would be typical, no Pens for 18 months then 5 in fifteen minutes ?
  18. Easy tie against the lowest rank side you say ???/
  19. People say the FA Cup has lost some magic, one of the main reasons is shite like the One showing being involved. I'll miss it now as I've turned it off.
  20. Well, after realising that the next round is midweek I've changed my mind. Home tie against someone we might have a chance of beating please. Not sure who that is mind.
  21. Being old , mental health didn't exist for much of my football following career, at least we didn't consider it . But years of meeting mates, beers with old friends and new ,shouting at Refs , must have helped my mindset. I usually enjoy the day in spite of the football, but it is a great release.
