  1. I think he probably makes a retrospective list after they start doing well to reinvent history, as he always seems keen to talk about how he always rated someone/how he right about something, only whenever it shows him a good light! I’m sure he had Luton high up on his list of clubs to look at and take on board as how to structure a club back in 2021, or even this time last year!
  2. the replies & quotes, they’re absolutely rattled by little old Oxford
  3. Someone on their forum saying “£10k a week would do it” as if they could genuinely actually do that…
  4. They are so brain dead it’s ******* unreal. Kidlington is one of the largest and most popular/built up areas of the city. Who wants to tell them that somewhere about 5 miles from the main city centre isn’t the same as being in a totally different postcode? Where do they think UWE is?
  5. He already has, but think he took advantage of it. Not the greatest of attitudes by all accounts. Won’t be here next year. Lots of well paid young uns who strut around and then seem very surprised that a team that isn’t a chelsea / man city academy team will actually give them a game
  6. We’ve been excellent in fairness. Nelson looks a real talent. Spurs standard prem/cat one academy crap.
  7. With no City this weekend, timely reminder to get out somewhere local for your footy fix this weekend. Weston at home in their Fa Cup qualifying campaign. Clevedon at home in the league in a very winnable game to hopefully continue a really successful start to the season - will be heading down to that one myself. Brislington, Hallen, Portishead, Cribbs all at home too
  8. It’s proper cringe isn’t it and so see through. The narrative him and their fans have are “if we just had JCH/a proper finisher we’d go up” - well….yeah….so would probably 10 other teams? What side doesn’t ‘need’ the best striker in the league? It sums them & Barton up that they have assembled their most expensive squad ever, given him the keys to the city, will be insanely over their budget, yet still moan that they haven’t got enough to compete.
  9. I really wouldn’t rule it out
  10. What is the point in technical areas? arteta has basically been walking on the pitch and all the way down to the corner flag this whole game.
  11. Ref massively massively bottled it Extremely poor game. Dread to think how much the admission fee for this one was too.
  12. They really are so ******* dumb arent they
  13. And no club in England is going to poach him from them.
  14. He absolutely will be. And I don’t think he’ll be welcomed with open arms in the box/hospitality either…
  15. I see DC has come out and said the team isn’t fit enough. Absolute classic spiel from a new manager, aka they aren’t good enough but I can’t make any transfers so need to blame something
  16. He really is a gift. They’re so mentally and physically weak as a club to do anything about it, it’s incredible.
  17. RT Him going is still an absolute blessing on and off the pitch
  18. I wouldn’t point to them as a North Star just yet…. They’ll be losing money hand over fist (so again, money), and they’re still proving themselves. Incredible start no doubt about that, but let’s wait and see what happens when they hit a sticky patch, or if/when McKenna goes.
  19. Even more astonishing that it’s not even his natural position then. Wow. Can’t wait to see him at AG. Fair play to you and Farke for trusting him so much too, as he can clearly flourish
  20. The difference is probably around £14m on Piroe, £7m on Ampadu, £5m on Kamara, god knows whatever loan fee and wages on Antony, Ayling/Cooper/Bamford 50+ odd Prem appearances each…and god knows however much they paid for Dan James (£20m?), imagine a decent chunk on Meslier too. and they can afford to keep/sign them all at this level, no problem. Whilst almost half of our starting 11 + subs that came on we didn’t even pay fees for. It’s a boring rhetoric, but the gap between sides with parachute payments, especially those in their first season post relegation, and the rest of the league is so so much bigger than people think.
  21. I absolutely love him. Shame we didn’t have him when he was a bit younger so we could appreciate him for longer.
  22. Brilliant game overall. Battled well, but their quality shone through in the end. Two poor goals conceded but they could’ve scored outside of those chances anyway. Would’ve been very fortunate to have got a point.
  23. And that god awful German “number 1” who couldn’t kick a ball higher than 4 foot in the air
