They won't go down!
If they are struggling at Christmas, they will sack Ben Garner, fulfill Roberto Marrinez's lifetime ambition of managing them and sign Danny Wellbeck, Mo Salah & Dean Windass to fire them to safety..!
Just picture the 28,000 home fans invading the pitch to celebrate their miraculous escape at the last home game of the season..!
A fitting, momentous occasion for the opening game at the Fruit Market stadium, open and built a year early and billions under budget

So in simple terms for this simple person
they are debt free but wont own anything !
it will be interesting to see how it un ‘folds’
That’s why I can’t understand their joy
they owe **** all but they own **** all
The only assets they’d have would be their players, and it’s been a long time since they had players like Lambert on their books

I think the pitiful disabled seating area with the plastic lawn chairs and Santa’s grotto must be up there

I know the fella walking past the back of their shed saying 'back where we belong', he's a really nice bloke, ex forces, 2 tours of Afghanistan and still watches that shower. I'll remind him of this, taking the piss to maximum effect obviously.
Tell him I’m in Kabul and my accommodation looks like their stadium

I wonder how badly the gas will fare as this drags on and on

“Winner takes all” They said.
“loser at risk of a final day relegation battle” they said....!
My phone is rubbish... what is they were singing at the end, at the final whistle...?!
Commentator says of Wycombe “it’ll go down to the final day of the season for them”
It did for rovers as well

They should extrapolate form over the last twenty games to calculate final league position
in other news, how is Garner doing at the gas?
-
You have to think that’s them safe for this season
not likely to hold on to JCH over the summer though

Unfortunely not - just the recently added options to block quotes etc
Shame, I’d already dubbed it the ThickoFilter™

@TomFany chance of adjusting the blocked members function so it completely eliminates their drivel from the forum? At the moment their posts still appear but with a “You’ve chosen to ignore content by ‘x’ “

Imagine if the unthinkable happened and they had to play a game at Ashton Gate because the Mem was condemned.
Which stand do you open?
They all probably has better facilities than anything the Mem has to offer, all would be likely big enough to house the Fewers who made the journey, and at the end of the game, there would likely be tears as they knew what they would be going back to.
If they had to squat somewhere I’d hope S.L. would tell them to sod off...

It would be ironic and I would get a kick out of it but it just shows how much the Bears have grown when 20k is probably too small given the upward trend and realistic ambition. With some success at the upper end of the table and Europe well over 20k averages is likely, it's not far off now. Last season in respective leagues Bears doubled Rovers average attendance plus 26k highest vs 10k highest for Gas, the difference is more than they can even fit in the memorial ground... which coincidentally is also what they've sadly run it into.
Bristol Sport have shown what could have been done if Rovers had any sense instead of blind, selfish short termist greed and thievery/skullduggery. Reaping what was sown all those years ago. Mutually beneficial top class football of all kinds at the wonderful Ashton Gate is on the horizon, plus all the community work and everything else. At this stage what benefits do Rovers bring to sport in this city? Where will they be in 10 years time?
Could future expansion of the stadium be on the cards due to the rugby rather than the football? Would this be completely “free” for the football club, in both literal and Financial Fair Play terms? (I assume FFP doesn’t account for stadium investment anyway, but just in case)

Sounds like they were utterly hopeless today, already relegation talk !

This has escalated into banter and a bit of a history lesson, but Miah is usually alright and pretty self-deprecating (towards the sags of course) on here to be fair .
One of the better posters on here. Gives it and takes it

They don’t understand that football is ever increasingly about the haves and the have nots.
I’m not saying that’s a good thing, but that’s reality. We have done an Indiana Jones and squeezed under the door with seconds to spare by getting our new stadium and all that will goes with it through the future expansion plans.

Forums are just a tiny group of people,a little clique who always have to conform and say the same old drivel .
I cant be bothered with that and neither can 99.9% of city fans.
Lee johnson and steve cotterill have been on the end of unfair hammer bordering on abuse.
But hypocrites on here saying how great he was back then[cotterill].
What a joke!
Have you somehow remembered the names of those giving abuse to SC years ago and linked that to the usernames of fans on here who have praised him? Or is there a chance they’re different people?
