Read gone for a 20-ball duck as I type. LBW to Leach, 149-6.
Cool - so your game is in the bag, just got to hope Middlesex don't bottle it. Or it ***** it down at Lords tomorrow. I really don't think I can put up with another Yorkshire love in on twitter

What are the permutations if Mid-Yor draw? What do Som need to do if that is the case?
I'm completely confused, but hoping Somerset bring the title down here from the bloody Yorkies, and can't stand Middlesex either

Another Woodsy work story!!
You after some work fella? I need someone to push a brush around this place, interested? You can help me with all these inbreds then as well

I work with a lot of Swindon fans, they are stunned that the 'massive' Bristol R*vers haven't sold out for Saturday.....on saying that, they are looking forward to the Oxford games far more

I wonder if they will be celebrating a certain anniversary this year? Exactly 40 years since they last had a five figure average attendance. 10,022 in 1976!! No, thought not.
**** me, is that true? And barely into 5 figures

They don't do designs to order, only generic ones for each club.
Darn!
They do! There is a 'missed it' section, I've just filled in the details for the Louie Donowa game.....

They did have a sort of Battenburg cake coloured kit in 1986 - I kid you not!
Look here, laugh and never forget!
Awful kit, but I do like the old team photo's were the young un's were made to sit, cross legged, in the front row. Presumably straight from cleaning boots / the bogs / sweeping the terraces
Won't see the multi millionaires of today doing that. More's the pity

Will they now say that they will be building a new ground by junction 13 ?
buys them them more time and saves face about the uwe
J13 - that's where FGR want to build their new super stadium?
I don't read this thread too much, have I missed something on this, or is this a piss take post? J13 is way too close to me to let that happen, they can **** right off

You seem very keen Woodsy!!

Kings Head was towards the Dursley end of Uley, just before the corner where the road narrows before the brewery. It closed down quite a few years ago now.
On my one appearance for Uley cricket club (out for a golden duck) we definitely went to the Crown afterwards.
Was always The Crown after a game at Uley. I think it's my lucky away ground, always scored runs there for some reason. I'd love to know my overall batting average vs playing at Uley!
16 minutes ago, harrys said:The old crown, that's it, about 15 years ago when I was working in Uley, apparently all the shenanigans was in one of the Sunday tabloids, the landlord was very talkative after a few ciders!!
I'll look into that mate, now you've mentioned tabloids it does ring a bell. I know the current landlord, might pop in for a pint, see if he's rekindled the 'local' feeling....!

Don't think it was called the Kings Head, the Crown?
The Old Crown.....I've never heard of this either mate. How long ago are we talking!?

Strange how poor Yorkshire are in the shorter formats, stuffed by Woodsy's mob AGAIN yesterday.
Corrected that for you mate, T20 win as well
Even put our opening bowler in as a pinch hitter

Well you've got the first half of your wish. Let's hope you don't get the second.
315 to win....still overcast here, wouldn't fancy Glos getting anywhere near it, sadly I doubt Worcester will have enough time either
-
1130 start at New Road - think Worcs are about 230 odd in front
Chuck the bat for an hour, get to 300 in front and let Shants and Leachy plough through them for 140 just before tea
Ideal!

Hope the rain stays away tomorrow. Could be interesting.
I work in Malvern - it doesn't look too good right now mate.....don't think Glos would want to be chasing too many if they do get on

Can I just point out here, as the sole Worcestershire fan on here, that Jack Shantry scored a ton against Glos....the second ton of his career, the 2nd 50 coming off just 14 balls
Should also point out Big Jack is a City fan, hope that softens the blow for all my mates who were giving me crap at 3-2 and 14-3, or whatever we were
-
Inspection at 12 at New Road, not sure Worcester have time to get 400 on the board and bowl Kent out twice.....what a thrilling start to the season.....

I'm not a Somerset fan, but this doesn't sit well with me. Checked the scores before a meeting, and when I came out about 30 mins later, 100+ added to the total
As others have said, declarations have been 'helped' in this way for years, and nothing will change that, but Middlesex have loaded the barrel are pointing it at their own feet and about to pull the trigger. Fought all year to get this close and left themselves nowhere near enough time to bowl out Yorkshire
I cannot put into words how much I hope you guys win the title
