It has been the same for the last few years. Many people say they won’t renew but the number of season tickets sold remains approximately the same. Either existing holders give in and renew or there is a steady flow of new people buying tickets. It will be interesting to see if the events of this season, and people’s anger, really make a difference

There are multiple reasons why people do or don't renew. We're all used to watching City so expectations are never high!

But is there anyone on this forum who is renewing or first time s/t holder because we do have JL,BT,and LM running the show??

    Think you’ll be left with:

    23 home games starting point.

    5 midweek games.

    That leaves 18.

First game and last games likely to be moved as theirs televising each game, so can’t be 3pm according to blackout.

That leaves 17 as you’ll only be home one of those 2 games.

Then Boxing Day and New Year plus Easter (x2) are being televised, so 2 out of 4 will be moved.

That leaves 15 on Saturday at 3pm, of which 5/12 on average will be moved, say 6.

That leaves 9 Saturday 3pm games.

Happy for others to query the maths.

You may have to factor in the Bears, Welsh derbies, Gas clashes, as well Dave. Plod have more say than the EFL.

We’ve been here before, people saying they won’t renew, then we get a record number of season ticket holders the following season and The Lansdowns sit back and think all is rosey. When Pearson got sacked there was outrage but no one made a sound about it a few days later at Ashton Gate against Sheff Wednesday

This is so true. The fans, sorry "customers", have become very sterile and we now accept average as  normal for our club. We post our dissatisfaction on here but then turn up next time to watch more dross.

My thoughts, and I've said it before on here, is that Steve fears the cost of Premiership football and is not willing to bankroll it. Hence we get a  mid Championship team with positive soundbites but little to no progress.

Maybe we're just getting what we deserve for OUR level of acceptance.

Going to get scolded by a few on here for this opinion but not sure Vyner is top 6 either. Improved, yes. Promotion material, no.

Could any of our squad make it in the Prem.?

  5. Cost of living, parking, TV schedule, performances, club structure.

These are reasons to consider when renewing against the lure of being a lifelong fan.

I'm  an old git now so it's not straightforward for me.

I've never felt so negative about the club even during the 80's. In div 4.

Well, if the owner has decided he doesn’t want to put as much in each year, you can hardly blame the fans either!

Thing is Dave he is the one man that can change the product on display.

  7. Do you think the current trio, LM. JL. BT. have it in them to take us to the next level? Depends on whether you're level is up or down.

Imagine walking into Ashton Gate with its impressive facilities and asking to see the top man, and being met by theses three. Jeez.

I wonder if he fell between 2 stools when he took over. If City had been bottom he could have built a siege mentality and talked a hard game where anything good was a bonus. If City had been in the top 6 he would have had a team already with confidence where he could tell them what they want to hear to keep them on track.

Instead, being mid table,, he couldn't beat them up and neither could he tell them they were doing everything right.

I know which two stools he fell between.

Surely LJ and Manning getting angry would be funny to the players rather than intimidating or motivating? They're hardly Pearson are they... Not exactly blokes you'd be scared of.

Maybe that's the problem. They hear him and think...fxxk you.

The next 6 games would have to yield 2 points or less for us to get sucked in , in my opinion.

That isnt impossible but I'd suggest unlikely ...

    Fyi those fixtures are

    Ipswich (a)
    Swansea (h)
    WBA (a)
    Leicester (h)
    Plymouth (a)
    Sunderland (a)

I don't see the 6 points we need coming from these games.

  11. As has already been said, if we sack LM, BT,and JL and bring in Pep til the end of the season we are still forked! There is now no structure to the club of people with footballing ability and knowledge.

The club needs rebuilding with football people from the bottom to the top.  I said before there is no-one at the club now in a position of authority who I have any respect for. The annual rebuild this year needs to take place off the pitch not on it! Over to you Steve.

  12. My circumstances dictate that I only go for the actual match. I.e. no socialising before or after the game. So for me it's all about the product on the pitch, and atm, that is not reason to renew.

Access to and from the game is difficult as well transport wise. There aren't many positives from my perspective.
