  1. So we're  demolishing a top 6 ready squad and rebuilding again in the summer. Next we will have the three window scenario blah blah blah.

Once I heard Tinnion say these are exciting times I lost  interest. Heard it so many times before. We are recruiting from lower league still and the occasional gem doesn't make this a successful policy, otherwise we wouldn't be rebuilding again!!

Manningball is not getting me off my seat,, unless it's to leave the ground!

  2. The Lansdowns would have looked around at the full(?) stadium last night thinking everything was rosey.

I sit not far away from them and I didn't hear our fans at all last night. Leeds fans sang all night and drowned out any noise from our fans. I'm not knocking the singing section because they do their best but it doesn't travel round the ground. That's not their fault, it's a design fault and it needs changing.

Despite people claiming Jon will listen to alternatives I think  as long as the ground is full then he and dad are happy.

3000 away fans behind the Atyeo goal is worth a goal to away teams.

  3. I was critical of Tanner a while back but I think he has improved lately (LM influence?), so I'll hold my hands up and say we'll done George.  Keep it up and that place in the starting 11 is yours. Part of a really strong back line now.

….. no signs of the laugh supply drying up and if anything, it seems like they’ve actually cranked up production.

I’d just like to thank them for giving us so much free, quality and seemingly endless entertainment 👏👏

They just need to find a way to entertain their own fans as much as they do us now!!!

We should move this thread to the written jokes page.

  5. You've got to love a footie fan.

When the tickets go on sale we won't know which teams we will be playing or which division we will be playing in or what day or time the matches will start.

And still we will part with around  £500. Brainwashed or brain dead?

Ill get a membership next season.

Less and less inclined to actually go into the ground matchday.

I feel much the same. My matchday experience consists of watching the game only. Circumstances dictate no drink before or after so it's all about the football. For years now I've been getting more and more bored with the modern game and not just City. If its cold or raining now it's a good excuse not to go.

Yes I know I'm old and miserable but there's not much excitement on offer at AG now. Will I get a season ticket next year?  If I had to decide now it would be no, but............

By which I still stand - had City lost at West Ham I wouldn’t have been too bothered. We now have a PL team at AG and an opportunity to see PL players in action - I remembered to get my ticket this time unlike the Man City game when I left it too late………

And will you blow kisses to Jon and Steve as they survey a full stadium thinking how well things are going?

The clubs a mess and the buck stops at the top, but they're too blind to see it.

We all like to see Prem clubs here with their star players but I would prefer it was a league game!

His performances demonstrate the gap between the Championship and League 1. Jonson Clarke-Harris is another example. He scores goals for fun in League 1 but no Championship teams are interested in signing him as they know he couldn’t make the step up

I keep hearing this but if the gap is so big, why do we recruit players (and coaches) from the lower leagues. Is this the reason we are struggling in the  Championship?

Think this is where I am now with the club. Not surprised at today’s result. Accepted that will be how it is until the end of the season. We will pick up wins, lose a few as well. Performances will be up and down. Probably much like of Pearson were still in charge.

I have been a harsh critic of Manning. Not because of him, but under the circumstances he came in under and the comments made by the hierarchy at the time.

Do I see us progressing under Manning? Not really. Is it exciting football? Not really. But I do hope he brings in a couple this month to adjust to the club and indeed championship football if anyone is making a step up. We can then push on from the summer with a clean slate and prove me wrong.

The story has been the same for as long as I can remember, and that's a long long time. Only the names have changed.

There’s a guy near me in the Lansdown who yells ‘get in the mixer’ every time  City get into a wide position and on the odd occasion that he’s not at the game everyone around me miss him ‘encouraging’ the team……..….:)

What he doesn’t seem to realise is that City don’t have have a decent CF who’s good in the air………:dunno:

I agree with you Robbo. We've a far better chance of scoring if we recycle it back to Max..........again.
