Loving this.
What a stroke of genius or a complete train crash.
Either it’s certainly drawn a smile on my face. Let’s settle down and enjoy the carnage!

Enough fannying around now. A big performance is due and demanded .
Contrary to Largish Nige I think a solid game today is more important than stealing a win.The players need to stand up and be counted. On or off the ruddy bus they need to show professional pride and get stuck in.
We are behind the project and deserve this at the very least.
We know that the squad is unbalanced but the future is bright. We need to stick with the youngsters and give them the confidence to fulfill their potential.
Today it is then

If we can keep Alan Shearer quiet, I think we can nick a win. COYR.
Problem is you then leave Chris Sutton free. It’s the devils choice really

A good summary of the upcoming game from LancsLive. An interesting stat in this article is that 28% of goals the City have conceded have been via a through ball or long ball over the top. Blackburn have some good attacking players so I’m not confident
Are you not?

Great write up
Blackburn 2 City 0 and the slow downward helix toward 20th begins.
Here’s hoping that there are genuinely 3 clubs below who will pick up less points.
One last wish from me (although I know it’s only a wish), I know and you know we’re probably going to be pretty shit today. I know and you know Blackburn probably will be the better side. I know and you know that a lot of players just aren’t very good and that Blackburn will play attractive football.
I’ve got no problem acknowledging that, I’ve seen enough of it over the last 35 years, let’s not double down on it though and really hammer that point either during the game or after. Nothing is going to change between now and January and probably not for the rest of the of season.
We are in a horrible fight which is never pretty and will offer only a few rewards
UP THE CITY .

Don’t think Johnson had significantly more investment than Pearson tbf. Also don’t forget we sold Kodjia that season right at the start for £11m. Tammy as with most loans would have been a punt and the only player who he bought for any real money was Tomlin £3m and pato £1m?
I get really frustrated with the constant Johnson had more money- yes while he did make some significant signings, but he also had to deal with our best players being sold every year.
You’re absolutely right. I think Johnson had the difficulty of trying to work within our ‘model’ which meant often we had to let our very best go and also not be able to pay the very best players.
I do think though, that the two situations that each manager has walked into are very, very different.

The boring Lansdown model has us due for a stint in Div 3 anyway, **** it, let’s really enjoy this version of the implosion and go down swinging.
Hit somebody Nige, anybody!

I wonder when Stockport last scored 8?

Hopefully he’s better soon

We’ve definitely solidified ourselves as an elite international side now I reckon. Happy days.
We cemented our 5th place status

Just to argue that point he did also swap the absolutely dog shit centre half Dave Thompson for the excellent Andy May, sign Brian Mitchell (the go to awful RB prior to Nicky Hunt) & a lad from Glasgow Rangers (Sean Rouse) who ended up playing for Weston-Super-Mare a year later.
Plus of course the disaster that was Ray Atteveld..
One man’s dog shit……

Bit unfair on Denis Smith as well. I think lots of his efforts were undermined by the board.
Completely agree.
Its amazing how as a club, for every time we point to a poor spell over the last 40 years, I can also show you an inept, scared bored.

How is Cotts only a 7/10 ?!?!
, how is John Ward an awful appointment?
The 97/98 season was as much fun as 14/15.
I know we didn’t win the league but it was ace.

Here’s something I found on Twitter.
Just a fun discussion in the absence of anything city related going on (well ‘legally’ of course!).

I wonder why he’s considered an upgrade on Dean Smith?

My boys play football, so it would make it difficult for home games and impossible for away fixtures.

If this is what makes him comfortable in his own skin then crack on, I don't see that he is inflicting it on anyone else so why not.
If I'm honest I find it a bit weird/more challenging that it's a school uniform more than a "girls" uniform. While I'm being honest I would certainly be a bit more concerned if I saw my children speaking to someone dressed like that, obviously my inbuilt bias and stereotyping but not sure what else I would base my judgement on.
Let’s be honest, it’s a fashion shoot for Arena.
He’ll be wandering his house in flip flops and shorts this weekend!
I don’t understand the ‘concern’ in this thread.

Most Men don't dress like this and never will so why is it being pushed so much by Magazines? Just all odd and if that makes me some sort of 'phobe' then fine
That’s fashion isn’t it?
The high street never follows the designers to the nth degree.
Fashion designers and their collections set the tone of a look or a season. They often push the limits (how many times have the media scoffed at a collection for being ridiculous?) but the cut, the tone, the colors, all filter down to the high street.
Its it any different to Beckham in a sarong 20 odd years ago? I don’t think the world changed drastically after.

Anyone else absolutely loved this half?
Havent seen this kind of width and pace and more importantly aggression, in ages.
