Cheers mate, like I said, I trust the bloke. He’s got 1 thing wrong but a hell of a lot right.

It happens and will probably happen again, I post on here because I love city like many people.

Whether it happened today or not certainly made for interesting reading and a lot of interesting points.

As you said, Baker, Tammy, Fixtures, LJ etc

He has been very very reliable

Apologies though, wasn’t starting a rumour mill just passing on what is 99% of the time solid information.

    You reds, we go again

I appreciate Nige hasn’t ‘gone’ today. But I think it’s been a funny day to put it politely and the interview did nothing to suggest that Nige definitely wants to, or indeed is, staying.

Maybe yours and @Davefevs source was passing on good information at the time? It’s not an unrealistic assumption.

What are you not convinced about ? That nige is ill ? That neither he nor the club know when he will recover ?

I’m not convinced that Nige comes back, I’m not convinced that the club haven’t had those discussions with him.

I personally inferred from those answers that the club don’t know if Nige wants to come back.

I have been a big Nige advocate and I was hoping that Richard was going to say that obviously Nige is sadly unwell but we’ve talked to him and he can’t wait to get bet to full fitness and come back.

Let's just hope you don't get long covid and at the same time people take to the forum to speculate about you. Of course something isn't right - what is so complicated about that?

    What?

I don’t think anyones done anything wrong. By the sounds of it there is a very good chance Nige might not continue due to health grounds. Richard Gould has done what he can to answer questions without saying this has been discussed .

Youll have to help me out here.

Social media really is laughable……RG says what the situation is with Nige and straight away posters don’t believe him………….…….:cool2:

It really does crack me up………….:rofl2br:

Those answers were so solid I feel like building a block of flats on them ?

no he's ill with what sounds like Long Covid, something isn't right, ie he isn't fit enough to do his job currently,

Yeah, what I mean is it sounds like there is a very real chance he won’t return and those discussions have been had.

Please don’t think I’m taking his health situation lightly.

  6. Are you convinced that he would return to come back to mange the football club?

”I would very much hope so but we’re talking about a health issue here”

I’m not sat here with a tin foil hat, but something isn’t right is it?

I agree - RG is doing a decent job live on RB given the current situation at AG with Nige being unwell.

Do you concede though that the answers are unconvincing?

Sounds very unconvincing, names Rennie first with 1000 games, thinks he's a coach. Vague about Cisse. Sounds like a bloke with no knowledge of football trying to talk about it. Mr excuse, Mr bluster, thus far.

So you think RG is being economical with the truth?

I think he’s doing his best fronting up the situation as best he can.

    Hes done nothing wrong

    Same thing.

Mate it’s so unconvincing. Fair play to Richard for stepping up but this sounds like we want him but Nige may not want it he same, for whatever reason

The words RG used when GT said that Nigel is coming back was “That’s what we want”.

Does that mean that’s what NP wants??  Or has he said something else?

    Nope

  11. Have there been any discussions initiated by either side Richard

”No that’s just Twitter speculation at this point”

So categorically he continues as the manger?

    ”That is what we want”

And Nigel wants to come back as soon as possible?

    ”im sure that’s the case”

    ?

"Here he is, my guest, your guest Richard Gould...

Even better when Richard can’t announce the new manager because they have to get to the Geoff Barker Rock n Roll hour.

It’s the most excitement we’ve had since the beginning of the season.

    I know!

Of course I want Nige to be okay, but as @petehinton suggested, only City could **** this up and clear the rumours immediately rather than let us enjoy a few days of frivolous rumour ?

Exactly, as if our tiny island will make a big difference in the larger scheme of things.

All you can control is what you can control.

Seems a weak response to excuse your own accountability.

Thats by the by though. I was hoping this was more in protest at where we are as a club.

    I quite like the idea.

People get in their high horse if you boo or show negativity at the ground, so let’s just not turn up?
