  1. Must admit it's never really crossed my mind before but thinking of getting involved myself. At times like this it's good to bring us all together.
  2. But that's the thing, is there another manager out there at our level who would have us higher than we are now with the same squad, same wage restrictions and the same injuries? I absolutely don't believe there is. If that's the case, the manager isn't the problem, the situation and the strategy is the problem.
  3. Oh 100% and I wasn't suggesting otherwise - if they didn't expect this level of backlash that's on them for misreading the signs, not for the signs not being there. In some bizarre way it would almost be better if they held their hands up, acknowledged they made a mistake and went back to NP. It would never happen in a million years and shouldn't happen for all sorts of reasons, but it would show a humility and self-awareness that has never really evidenced itself from them up to this point.
  4. Probably just anxiety. If I was making a video that was about to get (quite rightly) panned universally I'd probably be the same!
  5. It's hard to see past this isn't it. Jon does look a bit stressed out / broken. It's not an ideal response but equally I'm not sure they quite expected this level of backlash. They made a huge mistake here, and it's extremely difficult to think of any appointment that would be up to the level of what we had.
  6. I appreciate everyone has their opinion, and you do make some decent points in your post, but this entire paragraph is beyond harsh in my opinion. If indeed many performance indicators were in the red, it shows a complete lack of awareness or understanding by the board. For us to be just a few points off the play-offs while going through what you admit is our worst injury crisis, surely suggests that we would be there or thereabouts hitting targets were it not for some epic misfortune. Playing partnerships and the lack of are a further extension of that bad luck, not poor management. And the lack of a sufficient playing squad to cover those injuries (we know we need 2 or 3 more players) is a strategic decision by the owner, not the manager. Whether we've spent wisely or not is up for debate but I think generally his hit rate is pretty decent, and we have plenty more to come from the likes of Mehmeti. Spending wisely is also that much more difficult when your wage budget is being restricted. All things considered I think we're currently performing about as well as we could be in the circumstances, and it's pretty rare for fans to be so understanding in that regard. The fact that the board thought we should be performing higher under this scenario is just an utter madness.
  7. Absolutely. We're a mid-table side but quite honestly that's a compliment. With some of our previous managers and this injury record I think we could well be in a relegation battle.
  8. Either they had no idea, which shows they haven't got a clue, or they knew it would go down like a sack of shit and just didn't care, which is arguably even worse. Either way it's ****ing shocking behaviour.
  9. He'll have been told not to go on, I'm sure of it. I know there are a lot of rumours going around regarding him, but on this one point I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
  10. Still angry at the whole situation here, but now the most depressing thought is just the fact that we are now almost certainly looking at 2 to 3 years of mediocrity at best, and potentially playing god awful football depending on who comes in. Only to probably repeat the ****ing process all over again at the end of it. All hope and optimism has just faded to be honest, I have little interest in seeing us spend a load of money just to potentially see poor football and achieve potentially less. Feeling apathetic towards City for the near to medium future now which is the worst of all.
  11. Brilliantly put. This is a proper 'head's gone' moment and I have been exactly the same as you, nearly always defending them. Done with them now.
  12. I'm really struggling with this, just can't see it of Tins and I don't get what benefit he has to gain from it, considering BT will never be the City manager again. But if you guys are saying it I'm more than happy to stay open minded, I don't know the bloke and some of you might!
  13. It really is, as others have said I've never seen us all so united over this. Many other fans here reached this point a while ago, but my head and all respect has gone now. The owners have not got a clue and we need someone new in. Everything about this decision absolutely stinks.
  14. I meant in a more general sense over the years rather than this specific scenario, but yes you’re quite right.
  15. Genuinely feels like the only reason we’re not further down than we are, is that there are plenty of other basket case clubs about as well. We are run piss poorly and it’s pure luck that we’re still a mid table Championship side, and equally frustrating that we’re not taking advantage of being in an industry with a bunch of other poor owners.
  16. Would love it if the dressing room turned on the owners to be honest.
  17. That's Rowett then isn't it. FFS.... As others have said, always appreciate the info you share. What a shite time to be a City fan now. All hope for the next few seasons has just disappeared like that. I think the fanbase has finally turned now.
  18. This one is stupider than Holden and Johnson imo. It's one thing to appoint the wrong manager, clubs do that all the time. But to actively get rid of a manager building a decent culture at the club? That's rare, and a special kind of stupid.
  19. Are we saying here that people from BS are registering to try to influence opinion, like bots on Twitter? If so that is a batshit crazy thing to do for a football club.
  20. Yeah what is with this? I don’t know a single fan taking that viewpoint, and he’s just registered. How strange.
  21. Sell the club and kindly **** off.
  22. Honestly I’ve never felt like this as a City fan before, we need to let them know how we feel next game at Ashton Gate. Fuming, absolutely ****ing fuming. We’ve just thrown away our best chance in possibly decades of actually getting somewhere as a club.
