  1. Wasn't good on Tuesday??? You weren't watching the same game as me?
  2. He'll stay here. Unless there is some unwanted ownership interference that will make him think 'why am I bothering?' However, you would hope that the work done so far means that will not happen. That leads me to think, if we stay in contention at the top of the table, surely the sale of the club becomes likely. It would be typical for the Lansdowns to sell to someone who then undermines Nige and he jumps ship.
  3. Couldn't agree more. Definitely the best partnership in midfield for me with Scott. Midfielders need to be intelligent first and foremost.
  4. Yep and he was excellent v Huddersfield too. Clearly him and Scott are our best partnership in midfield. By some way.
  5. I suspect the individual figures are correct but they have attributed them to the wrong players. For example, based on what we understand, they have got Wells and James' salaries the wrong way round.
  6. I'd be extremely annoyed if I were one of Sykes, James or Scott and got hooked gor Williams. All 3 were excellent on Wednesday
  7. Yep. Not identical but similar to the Vardy effect when Leicester won the league. defenders were terrified of him. His presence caused panic before he even did anything.
  8. I'd leave Conway out because he looked like the sequence of games had caught up with him. Only decision then is Semenyo ready to start wgich is a decision only Nige and Dave Rennie can really make. If he isn't ready, I'd start Martin. Conway can be the player to make an impact too.
  9. Well put. With a similarly intelligent cm partner he'll do well. Less headless chicken behaviour or silly fouls if caught out of position.James and Scott for me are 1st choice
  10. I think James and Scott are the best 2 clearly. The 2 calmest certainly with a nice mix of youth and experience.
  11. Collection of football stickers by an adult isn't in any way questionable is it? No more so than stamp or coin collecting, having a trainset or being a trainspotter. None of those things are my bag but there is nothing questionable. No one is getting hurt or abused if a grown man or woman collects football stickers.
  12. One of the weirdest statements made on OTIB. And that is a very, very high bar
  13. Snap. Guessed according to the colours of seats etc.
  14. I get the impression we won't be fooled now. Probably not the case previously.
  15. That's totally believeable and gives one the strong impression he has been overpaid for 4 years. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
  16. He gave a lot away there. Reference to needing a left sided player and a defender. Then talking about who to sign should we sell someone. You could easily summise 2 particular individuals being signed should Semenyo go.
  17. WIlliams didn't play vs Luton but hey ho
  18. There is a different mindset but there will also be data and input from likes of Dave Rennie. Primarily concerned with protecting Weimann who had 10 days off over the summer and won't stop again until November
  19. We are clearly a 3 4 1 2 side and that's good. No way should it be changed to shoehorn 2 unproven players into it.
  20. When thinking about this, you have to take into account that this is the 4th midweek game in a row. There is a balance between 'keeping the shirt' and making sure players aren't overplayed. | This is particularly the case at the end of the run of games (ie the next 2). So far minutes have been spread amongst the forwards, but I do wonder if there will be some switching for the next 2 games. Martin and Semenyo may start one game and Wells and Conway another
  21. Tommy Gun He's name is Tommy and he's our gun player...
  22. That decision didn't cost us the goal did it? The decision to pass to a team mate and put him under severe pressure rather than sticking the ball up the other end of the pitch was the issue.
  23. That was down to Naismith. King basically decided not to hammer it into his own goal in the hope it was going wide. Not that you'll listen King's a perfect scapegoat.
