  1. Girls league is on Sundays. My daughter plays for the same team as Judda's so they'll be able to watch. Saturdays make much more sense than Sundays...
  2. Ashton Gate could be hosting a play off semi on 13th June. We'd have to finish top 2 though.
  3. If we can't win one of the next 3 we are still in the mix. Hopefully we can eke out a BP today at least and get something at Leicester. Just need to be 6 points clear of Newcastle by the time we play them..
  4. Agree with you. Sarries will be far more concerned with Semi Final the week after in the Champions Cup whilst we'll have a week off. Hopefully we'll have that extra bit of intensity ...
  5. We are capable of winning each one. But also capable of losing each one. It's the nature of the league. I think we'll win at Twickenham. But lose at Newcastle for example. The quicker Charles Piatau is back the better. We certainly missed him last week.
  6. The jump from Championship to PRemiership is huge. A bit like jumping from League 2 to the Premiership in football. This season is all about staying up. We've ben okay this season if you ask me. Only one game where we've embarrased ourselves. A lot of losing bonus points is an indication we're competing
  7. Dunno. Just think he's very young and in my head we should be thinking top notch at 8,9,10. There have inevitably been a couple of disappointing signings. Stirzaker defintiely one of them, the Lay brothers another 2
  8. I'd like to think we'll keep Jordan Crane but let Jack Lam go. Haining and Crane are good back ups. A back row of Thomas, Luatua and Hughes is as good as any in the Premiership. What we now need is a quality 9...
  9. Thing is, with the exception of Exeter, we are perfectly capable of beating any of those away. After next Saturday we would've got the Exeter, Saracens and Gloucester away games out the way. Every single game left is realistically winnable (including Glos and Saracens at home). We need 4 wins to be absolutely guaranteed safety. 6 could get us top 6, 8 would get us top 4.. Personally I can see us beating Bath at Twickenham. The likes of Piatau and Luatua aren't likely to get the opportunity of playing on that sort of stage much more so will want to show what they're made of. As a season ticket holder for both City and Bristol Rugby, I can't help compare the impact of the head coaches on the teams.. Bristol Rugby go for the throat in every game. City are a different story..
  10. I heard exactly the same from a reliable source too. He's not joining till 6th January apparently
  11. Depends how the coach uses the competition. I think they were thinking we would qualify for the quarter finals quite comfortably. However, the narrow loss away to Zebre made that less likely. The side he's picked for Saturday is completely 2nd string. All English qualified. La Rochelle were the best side I've seen at Ashton Gate this season. Very brave by Lam. Obviously using the game to see who will show they're ready to step up whilst ensuring the main players are keyed up for the 3 games over the festive period. It's exactly like Europa League. 2nd tier competition but the winner goes to the Champions Cup next year. It's only 3 extra games and if we're safe come March/April, one suspects it might be targeted. The draw was very kind, but the loss at Zebre has made things very difficult.
  12. If we can get a BP on Saturday night and then 2 x 5 pointers against the Russian side, we should progress. Just about.
  13. Does he? That's mint. It would be good for them to spend a few weeks with a bit of a national spotlight because their owner is a delusional nutjob..
  14. You were probably singlehandedly responsible for the odds shortening. Bookies are very wary of allowing large bets on these markets for obvious reasons.
  15. Really hope they appoint that clown Hollowhead. Would love to hear the interview after he relegates them.
  16. Hope they pick Hollowhead to replace him.
  17. Based on yesterday, Leicester look likeliest. Considering they had 5 full current England internationals, they were pitiful. Sending off clouded how bad they were. Sometimes you're most in danger when you think it won't happen to you..
  18. Comparatively, Bristol are 9 points better off than 2 seasons ago. Need at least 2 wins from the next 4 though. It's a lottery who's going down this year. Wouldn't surprise me if an established side went (ie Saints, Bath, Quins).
  19. In case no one has seen it. That's 2 game out of 7 Bath have literally dropped this season..
  20. If you have a City Season ticket and can't make the Northampton game, the other game will probably be Worcester at home on 23rd March.. I don't know this - it just seems the obvious choice
  21. Very graciously put. Some of the Barf fans I spoke to before the game were a bit up themselves to be honest, but after the game they were a lot more humble..
  22. Spot on. If you watch Rugby on BT it is dominated by ex Leicester or ex London based players. No Mark Regans or Gareth Chilcotts. The only one not from the English rugby 'establishment' is Sam Warburton who incidentally tipped Bristol to beat Bath on BT the other night.
  23. It was flipping mint. Bath just have the air of entitlement about them and well and truly had it shoved down their throats.
  24. The reason being the shirts only went on sale this morning....
