  1. That is outrageous....still it will explain why the sags don't take their usual 50k away following, cos they sell out every away game don't you know!
  2. Didn't they draw Yeovil? They can't possibly boycott a massive local derby, although looking at the crowd, their boycotting seemed to begin at their other derby against Cardiff...
  3. Genuine question - any reason you couldn't sell out your massive cup tie away at Chelsea? Check out the empty seats on videos and pics here: http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/6-photos-that-prove-why-bristol-rovers-8217-fans-really-do-give-the-best-support/story-29651880-detail/story.html
  4. Ok, fair enough, it does say the article is 'By The Bristol Post' though...
  5. ...and The Bristol Post still spouted loads of nonsense about that lot being the best supporters - they apparently have proof! http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/6-photos-that-prove-why-bristol-rovers-8217-fans-really-do-give-the-best-support/story-29651880-detail/story.html Load of tosh!
  6. Well perhaps you should have a chat with one of your lot who placed the second post on this thread: http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/7998/big He doesn't think you sold out your Chelsea allocation by the look of it....
  7. Yes but in a City of around half a million people, with hundreds of thousands more in accessible surrounding areas, 9,000 is pathetic. You can't seriously be comparing Bristol to places like Blackpool, Chesterfield, Southend and Walsall where your attendances are concerned?! Blackpool, for example, averaged over 7,000 in League One last season in a relegation campaign with all their 'issues' - but their population is less than 150,000 - that makes your 9,000 look incredibly paltry. And the others get bigger crowds than you in 'real terms' too. And for the record, we are currently getting around 14,000 more than you at home games....and I still think our crowds are nothing to write home about given our population. "Print that b@stard" DC....
  8. How did that lot up the road get on? They lost?!
  9. But there's 34 pages on here discussing him leaving so surely his heart's not in it?!
  10. Isn't Ashton Court behind the West Stand mate?! But I always loved seeing the Bridge lit up during evening games - a real iconic image, loved it when the Bridge was on our badge too....but that's another story! (Can open, worms everywhere...)
  11. Their paranoia knows no bounds! Apparently a kid was thrown out of their Blackthorn End yesterday for getting into trouble with their stewards and offering to 'fight anyone' and his girlfriend was up for a ruck too. The OP in the thread about this on their forum asked whether it was a City fan....unbelievable, why on earth would one of us attend Roverzzz vs Oxford?! Any sign of trouble at the family club and they immediately look for a City link, pathetic...
  12. That's him celebrating his first goal - it's at the other end to where we were.... Still a great pic though!
  13. ....and you could clearly see the new B, R, F and C lettering in their new tent - so basically no fans in there to sit on the seats and obscure the lettering...yet they still bleat on about attendances. And I might have heard wrong but I thought at one point the commentator said "rovers had an average crowd of over 8k last season for the first time in 16 years..." If correct, hahahahahahahahaha!!
  14. How many open spaces on those home terraces?! Seems like the 'faithful and true' hordes haven't turned up - yet again...
  15. You are aware the gas are at home?! Why would Cardiff fans "join them in the away end once the Cardiff stands are sold out"?! Or have I misunderstood?! It has been known!
  16. Have you seen the Twitter exchanges between the clubs after this one was posted? It's classic stuff!
  17. I make no apology for posting this video again....Scunny 3 Sags 1 - "print that b*stard Dopey!"
  18. They obviously don't even know the meaning of 'franchise' - it's pathetic, just a word they once heard being bandied about regarding MK Dons' takeover of Wimbledon and it seems trendy to use it - even in the wrong sense! Utter idiots! And the plonker calling us 'plastic 82 franchise bankrolled by Lansdown's dodgy money...' - hope he's got a good lawyer, I'd love SL to sue for libel if he can't prove it!
  19. I'm sure you meant Sheff Wed - but didn't we win our first game of the title winning season away at Sheff U?
  20. Social media is essentially rubbish, although it's a large part of my working life...but surely average crowds (home and away) and honours, and seasons at the top level in English football, and FA Cup Final appearances etc etc etc are all enough to just pat them on the head and say 'there, there, please be quiet...'
  21. Quick summary..... Brand new shiny stadium, signed a player from Juventus, signed a player from Bayern Munich, signed a player from Chelsea, signed a player from Sunderland, signed a player from Norwich, signed a player from Bournemouth. 'Bristol City, we're coming for you' - 'Tick Tock' - 'We're richer than you' - 'We will overtake you so quick, we'll be using Ashton Gate as a training ground for our youth team soon' - 'Why did that Chelsea bloke choose AG over the Mem?' etc, etc, etc... You seriously could not write comedy that good if you morphed into a combination of Peter Kay, Frankie Boyle and Billy Connolly...... Are they purposely trying to make us laugh?! When will the penny drop? And when it does, how many of the chavvy sags will dive down to catch it before it hits their 'trainers'?!
  22. Nuffin' famous about their shite kit - looks like a few corner flags sewn together in desperation.....
  23. They did have a sort of Battenburg cake coloured kit in 1986 - I kid you not! Look here, laugh and never forget!
  24. I've got a new job collecting litter - they didn't give me any training, I just picked it up as I went along...
