This condescending comment just wasn't needed was it. He made an opinnion about a player like we all do. I am sure you have opinnions on all the worlds best players that you haven't physically watched.

Fair enough - fair point - I always reserve judgement on a player until I’ve seen them play ‘live’ though - i’ve mentioned on here a few times that I didn’t really think Patrick Vieira was that good - but when I saw him ‘live’ my opinion changed instantly - he was immense and his ‘off the ball’ movement and intelligence was awesome - and that’s the kind of stuff you just don’t see on a tv screen when the cameras generally just follow the ball ...

Why is an opinion watching from TV less valuable than watching live? You don’t get replays live etc. Your comment smacks of a superior superfan mentality tbh

No superfan mentality here - never will be - I just don’t think you can judge a player’s attributes or full contribution to a game without actually watching it ‘live’ ... that’s all - I’d never judge anyone for staying at home but I can certainly question their views on a player that they’ve only seen play on a small screen - only when he has the ball ...

    It's a lovely armchair.

Fair enough, obviously much more comfortable than actually attending games and posting credible opinions that can only be formed when watching “live” games ...

Can't make my mind up on Davis. Looks a handful at times but has a dreadful touch.

Fair enough, but it’s always easier to judge players and teams when you watch them play “live” - it’s not something you do that often is it? When I review our matchday threads on a Sunday, or Wednesday, you are prolific on there!! Apologies if I’ve got this wrong - but you do seem to pontificate relentlessly from your armchair ...

Interesting that seven out of the top ten in the National League are former league clubs - some having had to come a long way back to get there like Stockport & Halifax.

Luton Town was a non league club eight years ago ... ??

Very interesting stat I learned today - Huddersfield Town has never won a home game in the play offs - in nine attempts - bodes well for Luton Town tonight ... ??

... well they’ve laid that nine game horrendous run to rest ... ??

Utter rubbish!!! Pickford made some immense saves so Chelsea clearly “stood a chance” - and as for “relegation for historic clubs is officially to be avoided” - these clubs have been relegated from the premier league ... so, again, what do you mean by “relegation for historic clubs is officially to be avoided” ... Sheffield Wednesday? Leeds United? Charlton Athletic? Manchester City? Ipswich Town? Birmingham City? Sheffield United? West Ham United? Blackburn Rovers? Bolton Wanderers? Stoke City? What do you mean by ‘historic clubs’???!!!!

This was my response to @dave36 when he claimed “Chelsea never stood a chance” in their game vs Everton because of refereeing decisions and he also claimed that referees had been told that “relegation for historic clubs is to be avoided” - my response above is self explanatory - but to the list of ‘historic’ clubs who’ve been relegated from the ‘premier league’ I could add Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Wolves - yet Dave’s complete lack of response to defend his ‘position’ is so typical of some posters on here - they make outrageous allegations and claims then when someone replies they go missing, they run away and refuse to reply and join the debate - it’s very disappointing and a little bit sad ...

So it's not a myth after all..? #shock

That wasn’t the myth - the myth was the hysterical ones saying Rovers always got a penalty awarded to them in every game and their opponents always had someone sent off against them in every game - the red cards given to gas players ain’t a myth ...

They're from one of the big websites, Transfer Market or something like that.

You are somewhat grasping at straws to suggest that I may have made them up.  You respond to quite a lot of my posts, so, obviously read what I write.  I would have hoped you may have realised that I am a person of integrity, who always tries to take a balanced view of situations.

I did a bit of digging as I was intrigued and the list you posted for away followings in league two was from the ‘Bristol World’ website - not one of the ‘big’ ones I’d suggest - and that same website reported that the Rovers vs Scunthorpe match “sold out in one minute” - did it even sell out at all?! May not be the most reliable source of info ...

I simply pointed out that quoting a list of numbers without any mention of a source renders the list pretty meaningless and leaves you open to suggestions that you could have easily made up the numbers. If you found the info on a ‘big’ website you could have just provided a link to save having to type out the list yourself ...

Maybe he like Scotland from when he was there as a player? Will McAllister link up with him again?

I think Hibs is more likely than some clubs he has been previously linked to.

Well, that’s interesting, although having followed The Jags home and away thoughout the 1980s and 1990s I know how much club loyalty means to Scottish football fans - the fact both Lee Johnson and Jamie McAllister played for the Jam Tarts would instantly turn an Easter Road crowd against them - despite futile attempts from south of the border to play down and ridicule Scottish football, I have never witnessed passion, rivalry hatred, getting behind your team and obviously caring so bl**dy much as I did during my many years following the Harry Wraggs from Maryhill - some of the memories still move me to tears ... as you were ?✌️?

What is the source of these numbers? Apologies, but nothing to say that you could have simply made them up ... thanks

You may not have noticed but he is currently employed. Why would he move to another Championship club, particularly one that will have no players or money, if relegated.

Of course I know he’s currently employed - that was a bizarre statement. You say Burnley would have no players if they were relegated? Really? They’d have zero players, every single player contracted to Burnley would simply leave???!!! ... and you say Burnley would have no money if they were relegated ... so the parachute payments would suddenly dissolve into nothingness leaving the clarets potless ...?! Oh dear ...
