  1. I know this has been raised before - but yet again on Tuesday the clarity of the PA system - and especially Downsey's announcements were absolutely awful.  His voice came across as extremely muffled - I'm not sure if it's the way he uses the microphone or just the system itself!

It seems that no one in the Communications team has ever listened to how his announcements come across - as sitting in the Lansdown Lower we can't understand a word he says.

I recorded the match on Sky and when playing it back it was possible to hear the substitution announcements etc but you could hear that his voice was still unclear and you couldn't understand what he was saying - when listening to other PA announcements at other grounds we must be down there with the worst!

Come on City - there is much to be proud of about Ashton Gate - but this definitely isn't up to acceptable standards!!

  2. I've just watched Everton v Arsenal and the number of times an Arsenal player fell to the ground holding his head as if he's been clattered only for the replays to show that, at worst, he's been slightly caught by the fore arm or soft part of the arm on a different part of the head to that which he is holding is becoming embarrassing.

Perhaps the "head injury" rule should be changed to "whenever a game is stopped by the referee due to a head injury, the player injured must 'rest' on the touchline for at least a minute before being allowed to continue in the game to check that he is fit to resume play".

Alternatively - could referees be encouraged to book players who are clearly feigning injury. ..... or should it just be called "cheating".

It really needs sorting out as some players (Gabriel Jesus amongst others) are ticking the mick!!

  3. Whilst I am not a Downsey fan - I really think he has an impossible job sitting in a booth in the corner of the Lansdown and South Stand - it's impossible for him to see the subs (albeit he was really slow at announcing the subs last night and either needs to have an eye test or get some binoculars to see the board.

Is this "booth"  a contributory factor to the PA system seeming muffled all the time -as it was impossible to understand the names of any of the players her was announcing.

The whole Sound System seems to have had the "Bass" button turned up which means everything is "thumping" with bass when any sound comes out.

To top it all - when announcing the teams at the beginning of the game - he was saying the players names with loud music being played in the background - although it wasn't the background it seemed like the same volume - neither could be heard properly = that must have been down to Downsey for not fading the music down whilst he read out the team names.

This is again an absolute SHAMBLES by the media team - sort it out!!!!

Tend to agree Major.......Plymouth, i think after an initial good start , and as we move into winter, might find their squad isn't good or big enough?  IMO

Living not far from Plymouth - this is exactly what their diehard fans think - for them survival in the Championship will be a successful season!  They just want a good result against us!!

    Is Scott playing ?

Doubtful as Pearson said at the weekend that he was ill but would hopefully be ok for Millwall - something which Tinnion confirmed on Robins TV.

So reckon even if fit we are unlikely to see him til the weekend

  6. Changed from Safari to chrome as safari wouldn’t max screen.

Sound works if you unmute or pause and then max screen - it’s there!

Just a shame about the camera quality as the shadow down the end City are attacking makes seeing the action really difficult!

Personally I would give it a few hours

Often when systems come back online they take time to reboot etc

    All working!

it’s just a shame we have to join the “booking fee” band wagon when buying a ticket and printing at home doesn’t involve a human being (apart from setting up the IT).
If you phone up I totally agree a fee is appropriate as wages have to be covered - but a few years ago no booking fee was ever charged if you took the option of “print at home”.

  8. Good job to ban towels - they should bring back a time limit on throw ins and how long it takes the keeper to kick the ball out and ban attacking players from blocking the kick.

Both would speed the game up and get the ball in play much quicker!

  9. Both of these sides are really poor today - the team who wins will either be lucky or just get on the end of a big hoof up field!

Must be one of the worst quality Play Off finals for years!
