  1. Johnson out - we have good players that are being set up totally wrong and don't know how to break down poor opposition. Tomlin's penalty out too. What's he trying to do? Hit the ******* moon?!
  2. As I see it, we're not creative enough and we're not dynamic enough moving forward with the ball. We are waiting for Burton to open up but they have deliberately set up with a deep back line to prevent us from finding pockets of space in behind. They looked very nervous and poor for the first ten minutes but their game plan was clearly to contain us for the first 20 and try to get the crowd to turn, which they were before we had a Wilbraham header ruled out by the ref for an invisible foul. Consequently most of the half time boos, of which there were many, were directed at the ref as opposed to the manager. 45 minutes to get 3 vital points.
  3. LJ - WHY BUY STRIKERS IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO PLAY THEM? I despair. First Engvall now The Snake.
  4. Peg is right! Pour yourself a pint of jaegermeister with cough syrup split. You'll be fine!
  5. Once again our chances in this match come down to who LJ starts. We need The Snake starting up top imo and I'd like to see more from our left side in terms of real intent to supply our forwards with the quality they need. It's great we have Cotterill on the right but the issue is that if we persist with going down that side as our main outlet, teams will suss us out like they did when Albert Adomah was our main out ball on the attack. I think LJ will play the line up too safe and we will draw 1-1 or lose 1-2.
  6. Haha! Fair play, this is unbelievable Jeff! Only two more goals to go and then we can start talking about winning.
  7. According to RB Wilbraham had a red bull before the game, hence energy in the starting line up. GOAL!
  8. Spot on! Maybe I do have a few thoughts on today's line up after a quick reflection... O'Neil is going to be ****** after 30 minutes! Wilbs will obviously try his best but is going to be pretty ineffective against them and will also be done for the day by about 65 minutes. Korey Smith is almost like an injury waiting to happen. I'm baffled by Lj's comments and then his selection! It's like he puts everyone's names into a hat and draws them out one by one at random. Man alive.
  9. Not a bad game this. Ayling is becoming a fine championship player in his new home. Well done to him I say.
  10. I think we have to look at the very real possibility that the management and players will bottle it!
  11. I had my Johnson out in the rain up in the Triangle once. Had to leg it to Redland after... I think we will lose today. I didn't realise how tough Newcastles fixture list is after this game. They will be going full steam ahead to get critical points on the board today and I can see them being 2 or maybe 3 goals up before the final whistle is blown. Hoping for a goal from The Snake but not expecting it.
  12. Imo, if the gaffer wanted to change things, TA should have come off, not MT. MT has a real hunger in his game. He will have been aching to put right the chance he missed and I fully believe he would have gone on to score again.
  13. The squad is good enough to compete at this level. We have decent players for our starting XI and good players for the bench. Our side is, without any doubt, much better than Rotherham. However, we scraped a 1-0 win against a team that is being described on this forum, on SSN and on the BBC as poor. The game of football today that paying fans watched is consistently being described across social media and news sites and as abject, woeful, dire, poor etc etc Like you, I'm happy for a City win. But I cannot be enthused that a side that possesses a definite degree of Championship quality, has been allowed to plummet to such lows that barely beating Rotherham in awful style is seen as a positive thing. That City side should be convincingly beating Rotherham, not just with goals but with convincing championship quality competitive football. That's my opinion, I'm sure it's shared by many on here. But if you cannot see my point then I suggest we agree to disagree.
  14. If you can be delighted at our current plight then fair play to you. We have indeed played better and lost, but with a different squad to this one. Our recruitment has assembled a quality squad that should, without question, be competitive in and around 10th-15th in this league. By this I mean not scraping 1-0's against woeful opposition, but actually competing and challenging some of the teams established at this level comfortably, without sacrificing quality of football for results.
  15. Your justification is poor. Kachina is not paid for his opinion, nor is he (to my knowledge) someone who works within the footballing industry. He was for all extensive purposes a pain in the ass. I think someone who is paid to watch football games up and down the land evey weekend is probably pretty qualified to make a statement on whether they have watched an awful game of football. Still, since you felt the need to be derogatory towards me you must be elated that by all accounts we've scraped a 1-0 victory against Rotherham. You despair for me? How drole. Edit - more reports of us being awful coming in since I typed.
  16. Your post is confusing. You criticise Sky for calling us awful, but then concede they are right some of the time. Perhaps a re-read back through this thread is necessary. I wasn't there either, but I trust the opinion of some of the posters on this forum and throughout the match the view was consistent that we were dire and it was a terrible match of football.
