  1. It's obviously paramount that we won, but as others have said it's difficult to feel positive when SSN labels us as "awful".
  2. Agree. Any combination on the wings would be able to feed those two. Even JCR and Sproule!
  3. It's been that bad then eh? Not at the game today so am relying on otib to provide the updates for me. We must take the game to Rotherham, one up top is baffling!
  4. The fact that we are arguing over who should be in and out of the match day squad tells you it's bloated. Expect massive turnover in the summer.
  5. I can only hope that Taylor has got that cutting edge about him to put us on the front foot early in the game. It seems to me that LJ and MA have gone for a "we're gonna score more than you" approach to their January window dealings. Which may not be such a bad idea, if the price was right for a proven goal scorer and not so right for a gamble on a foreign right back. Moreover, whilst I love Tammy a criticism you could angle at him is that he needs a few shots across the oppositions bow before he makes his clinical mark in a game. Perhaps MT will prove a useful club in the bag with regards to getting a strong foothold in the game from the off. However, we simply can't ignore the fundamentals of defence in this league. Any team is dangerous on their day, including Rotherham and for us to get a point today we need Flint and Giefer working together, not at 6's and 7's with each other. Hegeler dictating the midfield will also be vital. I predict a 2-2 draw, with MT and (hopefully) TA to start, though it's probably about time Djuric started contributing more than good hold and link up play. That, of course, will depend on who starts and who warms the bench. I can't see us keeping a clean sheet unfortunately, so if we are to have any hope of getting 3 points, we need to stick away our chances as soon as they come.
  6. Don't really like posting on this thread but that's a strange move isn't it? I know their keeper is shite but the others?
  7. Alright mate no need to get funny? Put it this way, I get a laugh from seeing delusional Rovers fans spout off - before they choke yet again but equally I find it a bit odd to be so fixated on Bristol Rovers that some of our fans need to constantly get involved in "my dad's bigger than your dad" style petty debates over the relative comparison of both clubs. It's pretty obvious we are light years ahead of them, so why we feel the need to repeat it on a daily basis I don't know. Frankly it seems like insecurity. Honestly it baffles me why we have such a massive thread on Bristol Rovers. Some of the "banter" in this thread is terrible, neither funny not actual good club rivalry banter. For the record, regarding Bristol Rovers: *They're another team in the City *They're not very good *We are historically and currently a bigger and more well equipped professional football club Best thing we can do is just leave them to **** themselves up like they always do and then have a laugh at their expense. Currently we should all focus on our own team and our own issues on and off the field. Rant over.
  8. Yeah, I do think we should refrain from being crass or boastful. Let the Gas do that, then laugh when they contrive to balls it up again!
  9. They shouldn't. The land has more value now for student accommodation development, in light of the radical expansion of UWE's business school taking place over the next year.
  10. Is that because we'd be sat with sweaty, smelly naked blokes? I imagine the female contingent on the forum would be quite happy with that...
  11. I think we will lose, but I am hoping that: A) I can enjoy a pint somewhere before the game B) They have a decent selection of burgers or hot dogs Let's face it, that's probably going to be the highlight of the day really!
  12. Hardly suprising... I'm pretty sure UWE are gearing up to build more student accommodation and facilities where the stadium was alleged to go.
  13. If he can give Little, ROD, GON, and Bryan a rollocking like his old man used to then there's hope.
  14. For me league position is irrelevant, team performance and individual contribution is what I want to see. Tonight, the team have been poor and there have been far too many individual performances below the standard expected.
  15. I surely can't be the only one who thinks GON either gives the ball away or committs a foul every 5 minutes?
  16. It's just lackadaisical positioning and footwork from ROD. I feel pretty confident even with his smaller build Frankie would have saved that as he is more nimble across his area and more conservative with hispositioning.
