bristolcitysweden
What hotels has everybody booked at. My and a mate are looking, but cheap places to stay are few and far between. How is everyone getting to the game when you're there aswell? bristolcitysweden
Hopefully as many as possible can make the Vallens IF game on the Saturday in Stenungsund, your chance to discover the real Sweden. Kungsbacka and Båstad are snob resorts for the rich and beautiful. Self-centred, narrow people. Hardly the place to meet good honest people. Stenungsund is different and the Vallens IF game is the one to look forward to.

You might have an additional charge(?) AVIS, Hertz etc. are established here as well so check their homepages. £36 equal to SEK400 should be the price per person for one night staying at hotels. Swedish Tourist Association got hostels where you can stay cheaper.

bristolcitysweden
Slottsskogens Youth Hostel. Nicely priced and in one of the best central areas of the city http://www.sov.nu/ Linnéstaden Our area has lots of bars and restaurants, not only on Linnégatan, the neighbourhood’s main thoroughfare, but on the side streets as well. And Linnéstaden is well-known for just that: a wide variety of good food and drink. There are also plenty of small, charming shops in the neighbourhood. Several of the main attractions in our area include the cosy section of town called Haga, Slottsskogen park and the botanical gardens. Slottsskogen, which is just a stone’s throw from the hostel, is a wonderful place for a barbeque, to see the animals in the zoo or for various group activities such as ball games, etc. Most of the city’s points of interest are within walking distance from the hostel but if you prefer to save your energy, there are good bus and tram connections nearby. You can pre-book train tickets on http://www.sj.se/sj/...y.jsp?d=10&l=en Might be a good idea to rent a car for one day for the Helsingborg game as the day and return to Båstad from Gothenburg is £36. Loads of City fans in The Apple so should work. Helsingborgs IF are working on the game to be played in Båstad. Kick off time is likely to be 7 p.m. For the Gothenburg game catch the train to Kungsbacka (28 km) For the game against Vallens IF catch the train to Stenungsund (47 km). The ground is 4 km from the station. If the commuting buses are not frequent enough I'll ask the club (Vallens IF) to provide buses for us. seebokseduction
I reckon I'm only gonna need to use the train for 1 of the days, and would like to stop off at Halmstad BK and Helsingborg IF's ground on the way down to the thursday night game. Is there a way you can buy an unlimited train day pass? I had a look on www.sj.se and it only has single tickets or eurorail like monthly passes, any ideas? cheers

seebokseduction
http://www.interrail...n/?currency=gbp Still to expensive I think. Yes, I just priced up each leg of the journey on Sj.se and as I fall into the 16-19 category it was Goteburg-Halmstad (£8) , Halmstad-Helsingborg (£5), Helsingborg-Bastad (£3) and then finally Bastad-Goteburg (£10) , so that works out fine! bristolcitysweden
Thanks, I will start to book it up when the IFK and Halmstad dates are confirmed! I visited Sweden last summer to see friends in Norrkoping and watched IFK Norrkoping very impressive ground, but they are only a Superetten side. Great support made me very very welcome in my city gear! I see on the 17th July they are away to Trollhattan near Gothenburg, so may miss city's game against Vallens to go and meet up with them again. http://loyaltothis.blogspot.com/2009/08/peking-ultras-fick-besok-av-bristol.html
