Are you from Poland PolskRed? In Latvia three years ago there was a Polish City fan.

Tommy

No mate, my wife is Polish. We were in Latvia on the first tour and I think I know who you are talking about. Been trying to get in touch with him to see if he is going but think I have lost his number.

O.K. Will have a look back through e-mails, think I should have it. I would have thought the chap I am thinking about will probably be going, if it is half as good as Latvia it will be a cracking trip.

Think theres gonna be plenty of city in this apple hotel. My party are only there from thursday to sunday due to work reasons, but we could all chip in and rent something out might work out cheaper than a train?

Hello. Thinking rent acouple of vans, Toyota, Wolksvagen etc could be an good idea. Its cheap and the vans can take 10 persons each I think. When we meet up in Göteborg we can talk about it more. You are all very welcome.

Me and missus would certainly be interested in that (pending costs etc...). We're staying at the Apple hotel, so would it be better to meet up and arrange whilst over there, or start the ball rolling if you PM'ed me on here?

Can we get a Tram from Airport to the apple hotel, and can we use the 3 day pass to cover the travel if we buy it up front.

Will check it up mate. Think you have to go with a Ryan Bus to Gothenburg central station though.

Stockholm is 500 km. from Gothenburg and I have been there less than ten times.

EDIT: As I understand it the passes are not valid on the "non-stop" buses from the airport. The ticket cost SEK 50 and the journey is 25 min. The same ticket is valid for buses, trams and boats 90 min. from when bought so you will have time to go to the Apple. The name of the ticket is "Welcome to Gothenburg".

Information on Ryans homepage http://www.ryanair.c...rt-transfer/GSE

Probably you can go with local buses but you might need a one day pass costing SEK 150 (a 20 can bring up to three under 20's). Send your inquiry about pass, travel plan etc. to vasttrafikskundservice@vasttrafik.se

At the same time you can enquire about possible one day passes, travel plans etc. for Kungsbacka and Stenungsund and compare the prices with http://www.sj.se/sj/...y.jsp?d=10&l=en

Perhaps a Gothenburg++ day pass is the best alternative for Kungsbacka, SEK 150 (a 20 can bring up to three under 20's) http://www.vasttrafik.se/Priser--Produkter/Fardbevis-och-priser/Hjalp-mig-valja/1-dygnsladdning-Goteborg3/

For Stenungsund you might need another "+".

Hello. Will check rentalcar prices tomorrow. When you arrive to airport in Göteborg so is my advice to take a bus in to city. Taxi is expensive in Sweden. Göteborg is not my hometown, I am living in town called Borlänge 450km north off Göteborg. My plans are coming down thursdayevening, i am working that week. Then we can meet up in the hotel, i have good friends in Göteborg who can have some ideas whats best doing in Göteborg.

Making it easy could be checking with the closest OK Gas station. Think you can rent a car for one day for about £20.

Ask if you can text for "Gothenburg+ tickets". Not sure you can so might have to buy them at the central station or some other place where they sell tickets.

Hello. 260p is the fe to rent a minibus for four days here in my hometown. The bus takes 9 persons and 260 is with insurance. The fuel is not included. Fair price I think. The price in Göteborg is the same I think

Can I just summarise then, so that I've got it right in my head.

It costs £260 to rent which includes insurance, which between nine people is effectively £29 (rounded up) each and then we need to pay for petrol on top?

Anybody know how much petrol is in Sweden? Or how much parking would be to park in Gothenburg during this time?

Also, does anybody also know how these figures compare with a rail/bus/public transport pass?

If the above figures for a mini-bus are correct, that's really cheap for 4 days rental and certainly worth looking into.

Members of the Supporters Trust displaying their membership cards get a 10 percent discount on draft beer at The Bishops Arms Järntorget http://www.svenskaol...et.se/node/1192

With the discount a pint of draft beer is SEK 59/£5.

Of course you can get cat piss cheaper but this is a very good pub in one of the most pleasant surroundings of the city.

I wouldn't mind in the slightest if this was to be our designated watering hole, as me and my mate are staying few hundred yards away in the Radisson, need to organise a few proper nights to meet up nearer the time!

The 14th maybe? People arriving on the 13th and then going to Kungsbacka for the Gothenburg game but the 14th is an "in between" day before the Helsingborg game in Båstad on the 15th.

Enclose The Swedish Beer Consumers Associations "Gothenburg pub map".

The blue train mark to the right of "Nordstans affärscentrum" is Temple Meads.

The Whiteladies Road of Gothenburg is Kungsportsavenyn "The Kings Gateway Avenue", called Avenyn, "The Avenue". On the map it's running from the pub marked with an "B" towards the city center. This is the place for the clubs and the nightlife but there are also loads of hotels, restaurants and pubs. The most expensive part of the city as well.
