Tales From The Front
Yes just seen that and I'm a bit woried...not that I don't think he would do a good job but the fact that WBA would be looking for a manager.
Coxy27
International experience, English, affordable, and doing a decent job in the premier league. That's why.

cheese
His dismal effort at Liverpool springs to mind Dismal - better than the "messiah" that is Dalglish! And he didn't spend anywhere near what Dalglish has spent.
wayne allisons tongues
Didn't do well at Liverpool, but points wise not worse than dalglish. In fact if take his average for season and work it out wouldn't be far off. Managed countries before and wasn't he a scout for the fa anyway? GrahamC
If it is Hodgson there's not a chance in a million that West Brom will go for a manager of a side in the bottom six of The Championship.
Guest
I think they will formally ask Spurs for permission to interview 'Arry as well.
Red_Jim
I'd rather have Hodgson than Harry any day of the week. Redknapp's the most overrated manager in the country. I want Mourinho, but there's absolutely no chance of that happening!
eastonboy
We must be doing something right; first McClaren then Hodgson....

Phileas Fogg
If this happens, then say goodbye Derek! I don't think so - far too early in his career for a job like that.

TRL
Praise the lord, a manager with a bit about him, and tactically sound, who has experienced managing all around Europe rather than a loudmouth tactically inept wideboy. No chance del to wba, it just doesn't happen, unless the manager takes them up.

He'll be based on the fact of his Liverpool and Blackburn managerial records...
Guest
I wouldn't be suprised if WBA hauled back Appleton to work alongside a more experienced person if he does go.

Tales From The Front
I agree with the general sentiment. He would make a good appointment, vast knowledge of European and International football and taking Fulham to a European final is no mean feat. screech
I can't honestly say there is a better English manager than Hodgson, experienced worked at international level before and is tactically very good. Redknapp is nowhere near good enough for the job.
Guest
McInnes is a huge fans favourite at West Brom and I really think the job will be his if Hodgson leaves......... Didn't he interview, and interview well, last time around. His achievement in keeping us up was no mean feat and to the outsiders should do his rep very well. If Roy goes, I would be very concerned. Tins
I hope Hodgeson doesn't get the job. Poor at Liverpool and that was his big chance. Done well at Fulham and WBA, but McClaren done well at Boro, look how that turned out. Surprised Pardew hasn't been mentioned, only English manager who is managing a top 4 team!!
