screech
Looks like Dereks budget will be absolute peanuts this season and Colin is not wanting to take the flak for it.

Nibor
Colin is 64 soon. I imagine he's retiring. I'm not sure why everyone needs to leap to negative conclusions.
Luke_Ciderhead
Colin is 64 soon. I imagine he's retiring. I'm not sure why everyone needs to leap to negative conclusions. Exactly. BCFC Jordan
I hope it means Sir Steve or Jon is taking over and Colin is simply taking a step back and/or retiring. I have a bad feeling that the poster who said that he's resigning due to the budget being next to nothing, may be correct. For the first option. MichaelRobartes
Agree with Nibor, a lot of doom-mongering here before the club has even released a statement. Some people on here moan like hell about CS, but now that he's leaving the world is going to end!
Bristol_South_End
Would be odd to retire after being in a job for a year though
Barrs Court Red
Not really. Man heavily involved with project stepping down. That isn't the norm.
screech
It's his boyhood club, he's recently been made chairman, I can't believe he would give that position up so soon for a retirement.
Red-Robbo
He's hardly been that inspiring though, has he? A change will, indeed, be as good as a rest.

Red85
Good News......only ever a mouthpiece for lansdown, none of his own money to invest in the team......what has he actually done since becoming chairman?
Lew-T
I don't understand why he would retire when he has recently taken the job?
Cider Army
I guess this is a see what happens..But seems very strange why this has suddenly come up? Never a dull moment with city.
Brizzle Jordan
I think some people are over reacting. There are many reasons why he could leave, many positive, many negative. I don't see this being a decision based on budget or the stadium. If he's leaving because of the stadium then he's too weak for me.
Carey 6
Relationship between club and fans been at an all time low this season, I wont miss him. Lansdowns son will probably be the new Chairman
westonred
It has nothing to do with budgets or anything sinister, He was always the short term option with Jon Lansdown to take over when Colin steps down.
Brizzle Jordan
If Jon Lansdown is anything as good as Steve, we will be in for a promising future.

Ricardo 'Livi' Red
Could be the announcement pending for 17h May..? And all part of a positive future...? Maybe an mega international organisation is taking control of the club..? But whatever is the truth, I am sure it will be exciting for the club going forward.. CS has brought a lot to BCFC, and I am sure if he is to leave then it will be for the betterment of the club.
