NickJ
Endless 'he said, you said, she said' threads on the internet achieve nothing. To be fair Dave nor do endless meetings.Re my post above, what do you think? You haven't replied yet!It appears to be the case that the club is complying with regulations. As the regulation are so absurd, can they not be challenged? EnclosureSurge
You seemed to get through the other lengthy ones, though, Flaxbourton Red, without resorting to this? Or they haven't been read? I apologise for writing a mammoth 21 lines! 21 lines = way too much/can't read that all in one go. M'lud, I rest my case. old parkender
How about bcfc printing the councils h+s rules and regulations regarding Ashton gate stadium and sticking them on here, so people can make their own judgement on who's to blame for this ongoing farce
The Right Honourable Les Q
I'm starting to "flag" with all this flag stuff. Who bloody flagged this up in the first place? Ffs! 4 games unbeaten, 2 clean sheets, things just starting to happen ... and we end up having a bloody row about flags! The East end could pick a fight with itself it we wuz top of the league. Fer flag's sake...let's start pulling in the same direction. Make some noise, get behind the boys, wave yer flag, wave a bloody handbag for all I care. You lot need your heads knocking together (although not in the yellow-lined marked area. Thank you). Anyway, whoever started all this: well done. Makes a change from SOD being the FLAGellated one on here. You're taken it for him! That's the spirit. Long may it last (there's nothing down on here about SOD right now. Could get used to it...) Very funny Les but it's not the East end who have suddenly moved the goalposts is it? And it's not like the East end is a thing (well it is, but you know) there are some individual fans who have paid out for flags to improve the atmosphere and make AG seem like a football ground again rather than the "rather quiet seating with a view of the grass" place it was becoming in the 90s. Crikey! Someone's moved the goal posts? Does this mean that my seat in the Dolman is behind the goal now? Bl**dy typical.

Frankly, I just think the club would be happier if we all sat quietly and applauded politely, like the prawn-munchers do. Maybe Lindley's should sell prawn sandwiches in the East End? That was a joke, by the way. Can you imagine how much a Lindley's prawn sandwich would cost or how it would smell?
Barrs Court Red
imagine how much a Lindley's prawn sandwich would cost or how it would smell? Cost and smell probably similar to getting your fingers wet in Chasers on a Saturday night - or specifically to the point, equivalent of a small chardonnay and like very fishy

Maybe the interpretation is stricter than necessary?Dave? Well, I've read all those links and I'm none the wiser. I'm beginning to wonder if another meeting with El Dave might help? Anyone on here available to attend? Then perhaps they might be so good as to post on here a summary of the points discussed, legislation explained, further agreements reached. Which would help clear things up, and give us all something to have a pop at each other about, while we wait for the head coach to bodge things up on the park again and resume his role as the forum whipping boy/ scapegoat/marmite man... Reading that it does seem that maybe the club is veering on the more safety conscious side? It's certainly not crystal clear about flag poles and banners. Dave L, you need to clarify this.
