The Colin Daniel Fund Raiser...

Not really.  If City fans have done the above, i think as fans we've always been quick to acknowledge and condemn the behaviour.  They almost refuse to admit to any culpability in anything they do, hardly ever condemn the actions of their own and are always looking to blame someone else - the fan throwing  a punch at a player  at Braintree being a case in point "the player smiled at him"  "the terrace is too close to the pitch"  "there was no fence"  "not enough police" - every excuse under the sun instead of acknowledging that the fan is a total ass.

Don't forget the Wycombe pitch invasion " The barriers weren't strong enough"

I challenge you to find these so called comments, seriously, prove me wrong.

http://gasheads.org/thread/1245/fan-punches-player - Only read the first page and everyone condemns what happened. Obviously there are some fans who will find excuses - usually the people you don't want associated with your club, but doesn't every club have these? It's also a small minority.

Every club has it's idiots. But I honestly doubt even our idiots would use this excuse:

"its up to the home club to control the crowd imo there ground should not be allowed in the league full stop no crowd control or adequate perimeter fencing"

Colchesters old ground had an away end where you were as close as Braintree yet no incidents ever arose there during it's time as a league ground. Exeter as well is pretty similar isn't it?

Player cons a penalty then turns to our fans laughing and winking. Fan loses temper and pushes him in the face.

The player goaded Gasheads after conning a penalty and attempting to kick Parkes in the head twice. He knew Gasheads saw him do it and started to wink and smile at the inevitable and deserved abuse he was beginning to receive. Our lads were disgusted and pushed him into the net (before pen was taken and before officials bottled sending off their non-league mate) and the guy then thought it appropriate to lean over the wall at the front of the terrace and hit out at the player.

braintree should be approached as to perimeter safety because it seems non existent

The stewards were from Gillingham and seemed more interested in drinking tea.

I also read a beaut on the day somewhere on that site from somebody at the game at half time, along the lines of 'i'm not condoning what he did to their player, but the ref is asking for a slap'.

You're trying to reason with him? Good luck with that.

Gasheads = angels

City = shithead scum

There's 29 sags prosecuted for breaking jaws, punching horses and being judged as hooligans by the court of law. But that doesn't matter because City are worse.

And yet in the banter stakes amongst normal football fans, Dean Windass is a hero and celebration of Sir Colin is deemed 'unsporting'.

What a drain that useless club is on this fair city.
