B-Rizzle
Not bothered really. As it stands gap between us and second is 5 points and us and third is 7 points. Considering MK Dons are 9 behind with two games in hand id rather keep our gap over preston at the moment.

Roadrunner
Is that good or bad Good, keeps will clear of Preston in 2nd place. Now played same number of games as Swindon and PNE. If we could beat one or both of them that would be fantastic.
Guest
Don't think any result would be bad tonight in a way, that said Swindon will be even more up for end our run after this result
BRISTOL86
Preston win would have been the lesser of two evils. Gap between 1st and 3rd more important than 1st and 2nd. Couldn't care less if we win the league, as long as we get promoted. All means the same come the first day of next season.

While I agree it would be nice to win the title - 60 years since we last won one.

Alex_BCFC
Probably the worst result of the night and they will take confidence from that. Still long way to go and two good results against those will put us in a strong position heading in to December, which looks a much easier month. I don't agree but recognise that it depends which way you look at it. Don't think there were clear favoured results tonight and don't think any possible outcomes would have been disastorous either. cidered abroad
Only 6,600 ****s at the ****ty Ground tonight. That is a pitiful gate. So there is Champions League on TV but it is still a terribly poor attendance for a match between two sides in the top four.
ciderbeans
Doesn't matter that swindon beat Preston. Means preston won't catch us quite yet and swindon won't last, their squad is small, finances are thin and they will drop down so are not really a threat. We will get three points from them so there's no worries there. Plus, Preston are the more dangerous team so it would be good to play them in bad form
One BCFC
Lets be honest when you look at the table, we are the ones in control, 5 pts ahead of 2nd and 7 ahead of 3rd, it looks very very good City fans

Was happier with Swindon than Preston, as like others I think MK Dons are maybe the true third, or even Preston. In truth far to early to really start worrying about others results. Nothing we can do about that. Look to our own form and we wil be ok.
Cardy
Whichever way you look at it Preston will have lost their last 2 league away games before playing us without scoring a goal. Hopefully they are about to crash and burn.

With MK Dons having their game postponed for the international break after the Swindon game they will have 3 games in hand. I can only imagine fixture congestions will get worse as every international break they will have another game to make up. Hopefully they go to a replay in the FA Cup to build up even more fixtures. RedYoshi
To be fair, seeing as MK Dons have two games in hand on 27pts, and Rochdale, Notts County and Sheff Utd all have one game in hand on 26pts, it's reasonable to think that at least one of them are theoretically on the same as/more points than Swindon are now, so the gap to 3rd was always likely to be this amount. Especially when you take into account that MK Dons games in hand are against Rochdale and Sheff Utd. Imagine those games happening now: MK Dons win both: MK Dons 33pts, Rochdale & Sheff Utd 26pts MK win one, lose one: MK Dons 30pts, Rochdale/Sheff Utd 29pts/26pts. MK lose both: Rochdale & Sheff Utd 29pts, MK Dons 27pts. Both draws: MK Dons 29pts, Rochdale & Sheff Utd 27pts. Basically, any permutation sees the gap between us and 3rd place being the same (or worse) as it is with Swindon winning. So probably better for Swindon to win tonight than Preston, as it takes care of the gap between us and 2nd, while not affecting the gap between us and 3rd in reality. RedYoshi
nice 1 Statto Actually, I screwed it up. If MK Dons win both they'll be on 39pts. Forgot that games between promotion contenders are "six pointers". What a fool.
