There isn't even split opinion or 75% of people against it on here...............it's unanimous that US fans don't want it. The club really need to back down on this.

Remember there was a survey conducted last year to judge if the club were out of touch with the fans, well this well and truly proves that they are out of touch and don't listen.

"the manager wants an atmosphere and was more than happy to grant permission for one bubble machine."

Which manager?...there are a few at BS now.

Or is he referring to Steve Cotterill?

This is actually quite an important question...is it really Cotterill who wants this? Or someone else?

Got to be honest I still find it unbelievable that WHU asked for this, they are quite a traditional club and think they'd have too much respect to do so. It doesn't add up for me.

Surely can't be SC, not in his remit to 'grant permission' for this sort of thing surely?

Why would it ever have been put to him in the first place, the idea should have been dismissed out of hand by the first person at the club to have been approached.

The club should have splattered 'Hug a Hammer Day' over all their ads for this game.

I don't mind the home team playing the away team's song or whatever after the game if they beat us, that shows class, but doing it before the game is absolutely bloody mental.

Weren't Bristol Sport talking about improving the atmosphere recently? You couldn't make it up.

Sometimes people on here get overly wound up about silly little things, this is not one of those times.

What? Really?

This has got to be some joke or April Fool surely. It's not about disrespecting them but recognising WE ARE AT HOME!!! Do we play thier bloody song as well when they come out as well?

If TV had insisted on it, well, some excuse, but dear god how tinpot does this make us look!

West Ham wouldn't have asked for it, they don't do it at ANY other away ground so would not have even crossed their minds!

Fully expect it was the same person who decided giving everyone a free scarf was the only way to generate an atmosphere.. Aka someone completely out of touch with our fan base

"The manager" can surely only be referring to SC.

Why it was left to him to make such a decision god knows, like you say shouldn't have been given the light of day.
