Do they still make those stripe elasticated 'snake' belts that most of us had when we were kids?

They were great BTW ... Wouldn't mind one now come to think of it, the S shaped 'snake' clasp was a great little design, simple and effective.

.

I've still got a few of them.

Got me thinking. Now that the Dolman Blocks have been renamed and the East end isn't/never was in the East anyway, what other brand names have been dumped in the bin of corporate bollocks?

Things I can recall that are (sadly?) no longer with us are

Jif = Cif

Opal Fruits = Starburst

Marathon = Snickers

League minnows Bristol Rovers = Non League Minnows Bristol Rovers

Autumn Gold = nothing I think, didn't it just disappear!?

Any more?

Used to know a South African called Jeff..... We all called him Cif because of the way he pronounced Jeff.

Thats all I have to contribute to this I'm afraid...

Our Dad always used to buy a bottle of Cream Soda cos my sister loved it. Horrible stuff it were.

I forget what he was called round our way, we just used to say he had AIDS.....lemonades, cherryades, orangeades.....the laughter never stopped!
