So he turns us down due to our low league position , yet opts to stay at a club poorly run , riddled with debt, doesn't get paid on time , about to go into administration , get relegated, and might not exist soon,

He won't be there come the end of January though will he.

As for not joining us....got to laugh haven't you. This season has been an absolute shambles.

I honestly can't get my head round how we have managed to balls it up like we have

I would love a psychiatrist to evaluate some of the responses in this thread. The bitterness and desparation from certain individuals is tragic to behold.

Having said that, the whole forum is quickly becoming unreadable - the sense of unjustified entitlement that the sad minority seem to cling to when things don't work out is a poor reflection on the club you say you support.

I see that most of the more seasoned contributors to the forum have given this thread a wide berth, and understandably so. And the lad who tweeted Clough's dad a few days ago needs to have a very serious look at himself, that's just ******g odd.

Just s spoilt homesick kid, probably a blessing that it's not happened

I wouldn't say spoilt. He turned down what has been described as a very lucrative offer and appears to have done it for all of the right reasons,

All too often players are described as being money grabbing but when one player decides not to cash in he is also criticised?

This forum never ceases to amaze me! So many over-reactions. Yes it's tough to take, yes we had a crap summer. But realistically, this was going to be tough, and without a buyer (still possible by the way, the daily mail is not a source for ANYTHING in life), this could/would be a steal! I'm glad Cotts has gone for it, it shows he still has hunger. It would be easy to sign a load of shit players but they're trying to progress the club without bankrupting us. It's not easy at all. Look at the state of football, my brother is a Torquay fan and I sure wouldn't rather be in their shoes....or Bolton, or Fulham, or Charlton, or Cardiff......the list goes on. It obviously hasn't taken all his time up, as we have heard of a few bids, surely haven't heard about a few more. It's not a case of 'just move on'. While we're waiting on Bolton Cotts will be looking at others, no more work needed for Clough. Let's keep aiming high and learn from the years before. Cotts is our manager, these are our players. They're trying. It's a tough division to compete in. I sure hope Bryan would do the same for us that Clough has done, and I'd also appreciate if Agard didn't want to go to Fleetwood (a Gayle comparison), but Ik sure Fleetwood fans would like to hear they're trying for the likes! At the end of it all, we may know a bit, we may hear a bit and guess the rest, but we probably know 10% of what goes on. Let's just support whoever goes out in that red shirt, and whoever picks that player. The names change but I'm still a City man, and that's all I can do that's going to help them win! Get over yourselves!

Good luck to young Zach, he loves his home town, sadly work locally in his specialised field is in rapid decline.

Opportunities elsewhere exist but the pull of the hometown is greater...

He's a lucky fella, he has a choice, excellent career with fantastic opportunities (requiring certain temporary sacrificies)  or still has same home town job opps and same chances (subject to heading short lists and waiting lists of prospective employers)  chances as good as others in his peer group though it must be said (subject to initial submission of CV's and potential offers of one to one interviews)

Stay put young Zach, let you heart rule your head , who in their right minds would want to leave good old Bolton town when there's no need to? ... Give it a few weeks/months and you can join your old school chums dishing out burgers or trainers etc in MacDonalds or Sports Direct, maybe become a sales exec in a local mobile phone shop, the futures bright Zach the future could be orange!

I Don't blame the lad for not coming here-he has great potential and putting an impartial hat on this would have been very unlikely to be a good move for him.were turning into a basket case and he has made the right shout.all the very best to Zach wherever he moves-if its the right one for his development he can be a very good player......

Hahaha. That Daily Mail article is full of shit.

Care to elaborate? I know it's the daily mail and that's normally enough but the article basically said stuff we know already and added that Zack isn't interested because of our position (even though it's above where he currently is)

We've not ballsed it up quite simply the lad didn't want to come to us thinks he can do better and stay more locks to home. Given our current predicament he's probably made the right decision! He must also know there are teams better placed both league position wise and geography wise. Good luck to him. He came to see us and considered can't knock that.

Deal was almost dead yesterday afternoon, then there was a worry that Boltons sale of the car parking land could collapse, therefore the important people at Bolton pushed it a little more. Slight hiccup in the car park deal was ironed out overnight. Cotts demanded an answer this morning, which turned out to be deal off, once again. Cloughs agent supposedly annoyed at the happenings at Bolton.
