Shtanley
How is nobody talking about the blatant handball from Robinson in the first half? Goalbound header from JK and he stuck his fist in the way, I don't think everyone saw it but it was a clear penalty
Lord Northski
In summary: A good referee isn't noticed at all in a game. But this fella was noticed by bloody everyone, all of whom thought he was either a "****" or a "right *****". However, I sit in both camps, I think he's both. What adds insult to injury is that Tomlin got a yellow card, and presumably no appeal. So, he ended the game worse off, from a disciplinary point of view, than the t###r who deliberately tried to take Korey out of the game early on (no 20: some justice in the fact that he had to hobble off soon after). CyderInACan
To be fair im not sure who was worse; the ref or Wes Burns. Given the ref "played" the full game I'll give it to him but Burns ran him close. And @GrahamC yes, it was vintage from you, pure abuse, brilliant stuff! No control of the game at all, allowed Birmingham to dive, time waste and moan without any response. Missed a blatant penalty to us and could easily have given another late on. A completely incompetent, biased display. The man was a complete Merchant from start to finish .

Charliesboots
What rounded off a complete inept display from the ref was the dive Diego Fabbrini made in which he won one of many free kicks. Salmon-esque and reminiscent of this....

Crap, less than 10 yards from me and there was contact, took his lower leg, ref was even closer earlier when the defender struck the ball with his elbow in the box, ref signalled ball to elbow, blatant lie as player moved his arm to the ball. Why is it we get all the biased refs at city - much as I thought Cotts could have done better, he would certainly have let the officials know he was marking their cards - was I the only one who noticed that only a red shirt could be judged offside? Offside
The ref today was truly appalling. Unbelieveably so. At some points in the second half it was almost as if he was being deliberately inept. hope it's a long time before he officiates one of our matches again. Dave
It always makes me smile when we see referees at Championship and League 1 level and see how poor they are, then a few years later we see them in the Premier League supposedly as the top of the profession. They are still poor, but we realised it a few years earlier. So we can expect to see this fellow making equally poor decisions in the Premier League in a few years. And he didn't get it. Ref was a clown though.
View from the Dolman
A throw-in in front of the Dolman summed the guy up. Told the Birmingham player to go back a few yards, laughed and then allowed the player to go back exactly where he is. For a referee who is supposedly in charge of the event and in charge of the people involved in the event, he had zero control.

Agree, earlier photo is just that second, telly footage shows him on the way down and the tackler's leg being withdrawn. Thought Tomlin's reaction confirmed it too.... eric04
Caddis certainly has a hack at Tomlin and it looks like he connects, but then Tomlin throws himself to the ground. Is the hack in itself worthy of a penalty if Tomlin stays on his feet? Discuss.
