The Official Bristol City v Preston North End Match Day Thread

Unlucky lads. Listening to the game radio Lancashire describe you as a good team with no cutting edge. I hope you can turn it around. Partly because I quite like you as a club but mostly because I would love to see Blackburn Rovers go down.

Owen Coyle said something along the line as they have to accept their current position but they no they won't be there by the end of the season!

He does like a losing streak our Lee. this is getting serious, but hey we have another window soon,, and then just another two to where he wants us to be...where's that Lee?  Sick of this club at the moment, the fans deserve better than this we were thinking six points last two...and nothing, zero. What soft pushovers we are,  get someone in that has the steel and guile to save this club, job for men not boy's.

I keep saying it. The purchases made were rubbish. They did not improve the team but just added mediocre numbers to the squad. We don't have the time to wait for  theses fringe players to develop and I doubt they will be good enough anyway.

LJ was a self publicist earlier. "1% gains, side will only get better etc etc. Premier league target,"when??

he talks a better game than he actually produces. Some of his earlier comments now biting him in the bum.

i refuse to accept the unlucky excuses most weeks.

Honestly; at this point, if Preston had scored thanks to Santa his ****ing self flying down and distracting the defence while the ball tricked over the line thanks to a backpass, I'd not be surprised...

Rotten way to lose a game.

Am not going to state anything like fact as was not there, but was the commentary right in stating Bryan was beaten for the cross that led to the goal?  If so; add that to the pile of goals he's had a hand in this year by being made to play as full back.

One sucker punch like on Tuesday is bad enough, but two in one game...

Christ knows what we need to do to win, or even just bloody score first for once.

Evening = ruined.

The worry is I don't think Johnson knows.

I am sorry I honestly wanted to give LJ a chance and more time, but I don't think he knows what he's doing. Tinkering with the team will be his down fall, the players don't get a chance to gel,  just like his Dad did some seasons ago, is he taking advice from GJ?

However do we know how good Moore is? The Swedish lad, won't attempt his name, the young lad from Oxford. I agree we have untried and untested youngsters but the only way to establish if they're good enough is to play them. Hopefully with the games coning thick and fast over Xmas, Johnson may have to try a few. The worrying thing is, we're in a bad run of form, we need to snap out of it quickly

Yeah it's a really bad run with the only saving grace that we are not getting smashed. In some ways, not that I'd want it, getting smashed by teams regularly or at least played off the park can be easier to identify the problems for. We just never seem to get 11 players out there all their game at the moment.

L L L W L L L  - now that should seriously worry anyone in their right mind.

Meanwhile at the post-match conference at Ashton Gate after today's defeat.....

Messrs Ashton & Lansdown : "Fair enough Lee as you think "we're getting there" we're glad that we extended your contract........would you also like four transfer windows instead of the measly three?"

It all too cosy.

Stuff the carrot - its time to wave the big stick  - before its too late.

dont trust lee to bring in the right players, his signings so far have been mediocre to say the least, the man talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk, hes never done **** all anyway.

We played really well up to gifting them the first goal, might have had a pen challenge on Tammy. Poor defending for goal, starting with Joe.B allowing his man to get cross in unchallenged and thereafter it was all huff n puff. Telling how much their goal knocked the stuffing out of us, confidence must be at all-time low.

Not sure where we go from here, just got to hope we can persuade 1 or 2 decent players to join us in Jan, and also hope the likes of Wigan & Blackburn don't pick up. Worrying times.
