Because he seems to relish taking any opportunity to have a pop at me and it's tiresome. I might get things wrong in some people's eyes, but at least I don't get personal.

Rather than playing the victim perhaps follow your own advice and put him on ignore!!

The board are more than aware of your opinions of the manager at this time.  listen to the last SL interview. believe me a protest in any capacity is not the way to voce your opinion.  getting behind the team will change things. if they don't and the board feels the present situation is having an adverse effect to the club or we could possibly loose the championship status they will change things. if they feel this is by sacking LJ  they will do it

How? I think the fans have been superb on this record breaking season of failiure. Showing support at every game, getting behind the team has had no bearing. Why should it now

If you're a mod then putting people on ignore isn't within the job description.

It's people arguing for the sake of it now, in the full knowledge that the change won't be reversed so the argument can run and run, and does, in some cases, read like "let's pick on the mod".

Can you lock a thread and still have voting on the poll?

My position is a bit different.

As I did a few times last season mid week, I can knock off work a little early. Spend 3 hours on the road. Watch the game, get home about midnight. Do it when I can.

Just down with it all at the moment. I suppose it is too much effort to be depressed. Just needs something to raise a sense of  excitement. Oddly, if LJ went tomorrow, I most likely would make the effort. Feel a bit guilty, as well, this is when 'real fans' get behind the team most but just being honest.

Not a protest. Not a boycott. Just cannot be arsed.

I don't believe all that 'real fans' nonsense.

That is entirely your decision and respect that. For some, myself included I can no longer just sit/stand there and accept this incompetence from a shocking manager and stubbornness of this boardroom and owner. We all want the club to succeed but I can no longer do this by just getting behind the boys. I have been a season ticket holder through worst teams but but not the incompetence being shown throughout the club. I cannot just blindly follow anymore.

Well said. Support has continued longer than it should have done and results have continued to be poor and we are now in the bottom 3. Blackburn have made a change and are moving up the table whereas we are slipping further down the table and doing nothing whatsoever. Games are running out. This is carnage.

I think Dolly's comment about this going round in circles is valid and what is being achieved by having a pop at her?  Nothing. She posted and explained her reasons, even if you disagree, there is no need to get personal, one of the posts in this thread is uncalled for and an apology for the inference that mods are power crazy wouldn't go amiss.  Some of the shit dished out by PM, Twitter and other social media to some of the mods would make some lesser people jack it in and as one of the longest serving mods/admin on here, I am grateful for what the others do.

No one is going to get everything right, it's always worse when we are in a relegation battle, there isn't usually much controversy if we are winning every week, I think the OP has taken the right attitude, a protest, then acceptance that whilst he disagreed with the decision, there are far bigger fish to fry and if we can, help influence a decision that by far the majority believe needs to be made.

Ok MR, simple question, I know somewhere on here , if I look hard enough there's a list of posting regulations that dictates acceptable behaviour on the forum.

Just wondering if there is anything similar we have access too that allows us to see the extent and limitations of the Moderators powers? Are there any rules that they have to abide by?

Of course, but anyone who accuses peopoe that choose to stay away out of protest as not being 'real fans' are wide of the mark, in my opinion

Indeed. As are those who accuse people who just want to go and watch the game and get behind the team as having their heads in the sand or being 'happy clappers'.

As ever, there's a happy medium.

Agreed, although I think there comes a point when attending games en masse brings more harm than good - now being a case in point

Well there's a story about this today- based on this very thread basically.

http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/large-numbers-of-bristol-city-fans-plan-protest-against-lee-johnson-at-ashton-gate/story-30182246-detail/story.html

This WILL raise awareness and put it in the public domain moreso and may catch on a bit.

And that is why this poll should of been left how it was originally. Oh well. Certainly going to be interesting tomorrow night

I'm still undecided. Voted to stay in the concourse but considering a total boycott. Would be good to know how many people are actually going to be doing what - e.g. - a poll stating 'I will be in the concourse until 15 minutes after kick off' or 'I won't be attending' etc. Need some sort of agreed action

I won't admit I made the wrong call because I stand by my decision. I've asked the other moderators to decide what should be done about it, and change it should they wish to.

It is not your poll to change.

If you don't like it make your own poll.

Did you ask the op's permission to change his poll?

What has, the staying away?

the accusations of "you're not real fans" if you stay away, a few weeks ago or even a month ago I could kind of agree with it, but not now, the football on show is dire, we have a head coach the majority want rid of and we have a board burying their heads in the sand,

We've been blamed for being too negative ( I can't think of us being any more supportive during a game). When the customer base is being blamed for the products problems its time for the customer base to stop investing in that product

Tension is running high but let's focus our energy in getting Mr Lansdown know our feelings and showing our support is not unconditional.

Those not attending fair play.

Those like myself planning on staying in the concourse until 8pm please I implore you to take to social media, tell and text friends who are attending.

Tuesday has left little time to organise this and is a big ask, but if there is 10 of us or a 1000 of us we have to start somewhere.

Let's not lose focus. Demonstrate by all means out the front of the ground but withhold that support for 15 minutes. Our support is not unconditional and to be taken for granted.

All the powers to be will be in executive boxes enjoying champagne and cucumber sandwiches - pointless protesting outside as they will not hear / see it. however walking out to their seats and seeing a empty stadium, then filling around 8pm might finally hit home.

does anybody like cucumber sandwiches?

Okay we seem to have 3 courses of action being suggested.

1. Boycott, just don't even bother attending the game

2. Demonstration outside the ground.

3. Stay in concourse until 8pm (15 mins after kick off)

Trying to gauge the support for which action and numbers. Time is scarce and could be a farce so whatever the majority needs to be advertised via social media, text mates. Don't be placid, not always the case but often fans get the club they deserve, don't be like Rovers fans:P.

You need something more likely to get the media interested.

Suggest we get as many dwarfs as possible (wearing LJ masks) and we have a dwarf tossing contest in the concourse. Those tossing the dwrafs to wear SL masks.  Just a thought!

How about a pitch invasion at full time a toss LJ into the river.
