According to reports it appears Flint and Wright will only get one game together before the start of the season. Not ideal for the most crucial pairing in the team who have not played together for 3 months. Sorry if that is too simple for some to understand.

Or Flint / Wright isn't our 1st choice pairing for Barnsley?

Can't believe there isn't a topic on this ?!

I can't believe there IS a topic on this....pre-season friendlies mean absolutely nothing....Newcastle lost 1-6 to Leyton Orient in a pre-season friendly before they walked the Championship to get back to the Premier League (not Premiership)....can't believe people on here are forensically analysing the line-ups to find anything about which to be suspicious...why can't we leave the conspiracy theories until after the league season has started?!

He's leaving , as as has been obvious for some time. Deal to be concluded this week . Good business for the club, terrible loss to the team. Last of the winners , and one who gave everything when the world crumbled around him. Far bigger loss than many perceive. Hegler will get badly exposed in the Championship at CB if that is the plan, which of course it is not given, we may have a replacement lined up once the deal is done.

I'll be first to ask...

- Do you have a reliable source as opposed to a Twitter handle called something like @FLSoccerGossip_1.

- Who is he reportedly joining?

- What constitutes good business for the club? How much will we make from the deal?

You may also want to explain why LJ is playing Flint in our penultimate friendly just days/hours before he is going to leave.....apparently

Doesn't want our first choice pairing of Hegeler & Wright to get injured before the big KO...?? :whistle2:

In defence?!?!

Now don't go giving our head coach ideas Dolly, or he might ask you to let Flinty out of your cupboard as he will be surplus to requirements!

Yes he obviously staying now... no bid`? why not ask are we discussing a move. Do not believe anything the club say. Hey lets listen to Mr Lansdown tell us all that Kodja will not be sold to a rival a few days before he left for Villa. The club is full of hyperbole. We aren now known for it.

Exactly, we are only told what they want us to hear because transfer business is not broadcast on here....we are not told who we are looking at, so why should we be told who of our players others are looking at/enquiring after.

You do realise there are numerous posters holding numerous opinions?

Your post seems to suggest there's a single consensus that we all agree on everything and it fluctuates with the weather.

I suggest you call out individuals if you observe them contradicting themselves one day to the next (if you can be arsed) but this gross-generalisation you've done, as above, is only going to do your own head in old chap.

If LJ is 100% sure Flint will still be here on Aug 5th, then he starts every friendly. No question.

But he knows there's a decent chance he won't and he needs to look at alternatives within the squad now rather than after the event.

Factually, we haven't had any bids, but plenty of us aren't fooled by comments like that. We all know clubs are monitoring him, waiting for other dominos to fall before they make their move. Flint knows this, the club knows this, his agent will know this.

Dont be fooled by some of the comments coming out of AG. Clever use of words and spin. I still think it's more likely he'll be off this window.

As I suspected - Flint has had his head turned and wants out. £££
