Nailsea

comes from olde english  Sea of Nails

Some right 'ard buggers must have lived there

Sorry if been mentioned  but wasn't "Drink up thee cider " recorded there, the original, in some boozer?

Royal Oak I believe. I always remember Adge Cutler coming to our house every Xmas for a drink with my Dad. His tipple was red wine by the way.

Michael Pickles was his son I believe. Was in my year at St Francis. He um, didn’t take the right path in life sadly.

I was at school with Colin

do you mean the rusty structure outside boots?that was made of some metal designed to look rusty? if so,i only saw it dribbling a few times, served more as a rubbish bin until it got filled in and the metal work taken away

only if the tides in, a right muddy shithole of a beach when its out

It's not about the beach for me, it's the laid back and seemingly little changing atmosphere of the whole seafront.

Doesn't appeal to everyone, I'm sure.
