Bristol City v Reading Match Day 11

First 20, honestly sounded like ‘how many’. Since then, Reading have created the odd chance and 1-0 feeling less than entirely secure. Hopefully we can raise our game again and get a second, otherwise it’s going to get increasingly sweaty.

Massengo is continential youth development personified. Wiry, constantly has his head up, disciplined without stifling intelligence and creativity on the ball. Joy to watch.

Would love to see him attempt the odd forward ball though. Great player, just think he could offer even more.

In other news Pedro Pereira has had a hair transplant. The disappearance of his widows peak coincides with his spell out of the side...

I noticed this as well

Little bit too pedestrian at times. Reading ordinary. Game looks set for Palmer. Massengo delightful. These are the games we simply have to win for top six.

Games like this we seem to struggle to push on a get additional goals to reflect our dominance.

You feel that in such games teams like Fulham or Leeds would be 2 or 3 up at half time.

I'm on hesgoal!

I had two version of Hesgoal, one in Chinese with a reasonable picture and on another device occasional English commentary and a shocking pic....City looked scrappy on both after the lively opening 10 minutes!

Lets hope for better from City and Hesgoal in the second half ?

Perhaps this might explain Baker's absence and the next time we see him he will have Massengo hair!

Don't normally post in a match day thread when I am at the game but I thought it was great seeing a Reading player go down 'injured'.... Reading players were shouting at Massengo to kick it out and we played on.... just like Johnson said at the start of the season. Reading player inevitably got up 30 seconds later...

If one of these 30 yard shots from Massengo goes in then the roof is coming of the Gate isn't it.

Even if he gets a tap in or one goes in off his backside the same will happen. A goal is the only thing missing from his game for me. I wish he would drive forward a little further and take more shots, if he were to bag a goal his confidence would soar even higher. One hell of a player we have here!

Difficult to argue with that. Perhaps with Afobe we would be (that’s not an anti-Fam comment).
