Yeah, a soft enough pass and the ball ends up 3 meters away and in possession of the opposition, its definitely his weakest part of his game. If he could control the ball better he'd be far more dangerous, as he is atm you just need to man mark him so pressure is on him before he can get going with the ball at his feet which is where he's most dangerous.

Tanner and Sykes are so good together down the right hand side, they really seem to click with what each other want to do. 

Would be very interesting to see Atkinson at LCB, Naismith at CB and Tanner at RCB as we'd have 3 CBs all confident of making a pass and carrying the ball.

First half thoughts.

Bright half from us and we deserve the lead. Hope we don’t pay for AS missing a really golden opportunity. For me overall AS has been disappointing, otherwise a tidy half from the team.

Sykes and Semenyo haven't started the best today. Touches going astray far too often.

Vyner doing a good job in the middle of the three, two either side of him doing fine - got to be switched on, a couple inside passes sneaking through, Tanner's quick distribution to Sykes getting us chances, refreshing to see that.

Bit worried if they bring on Ntcham or Paterson as they might have a bit more quality when the ball gets popped into the middle at the edge of the box, which does seem to be their gameplan with an overload on the right.

Everything going forward through Conway and nice to see him back with some sharp touches and hold up play.

All in all a decent first half. Should have been 3-0 up and out of sight. 

Critical to keep the concentration between 45-60 mins..... Too often do we switch off in this period and concede a weak goal. Make no mistake our lead is fragile in part due to them being unable to convert in the final third. A chance will occur. 

Semenyo has been disappointing so far. Seems to have lost the intrinsic motivation he had. 

Conway bright.

Need another to be sure of 3 points.

Great 30 mins but you can see from the last 15 that pressing is difficult for the whole half

Well for 25 mins definitely the latter. Prob could and should have put game to bed. 

Tanner a big positive first half, has defended ok and put a couple of decent balls in when getting forward from the rcb position.

Whether we can keep that press up for 90 mins remains to be seen, but given the side we have had to put out could not really have asked for more that half.

Hopefully he will have a good world cup with Ghana and we can cash in in January, clear our FFP worries and still have Wells & Conway with Sam Bell to develop more too.
