I'm probably in the minority, but I'd love us to play in red, white and blue, with yellow and claret trim. It would cover the colours of Bedminster, Bristol Southend and when we became Bristol City. Those colours always look smart to me. So many teams play in just red and white. The kits of Barcelona, Crystal Palace, Genoa and Bologna...love em. I do like the retro Subbuteo t shirt in stock. I'm guessing they've done their due diligence and realise they have to pay a licence fee to use the Subbuteo brand name and logo. I found this out when the commercial department at FGR, enquired whether I could supply FGR Subbuteo teams for their shop. https://shop.bristol-sport.co.uk/bcfc/bcfclifestyle/mens-lifestyle/tops-polos/2152_bristol-city-subbuteo-red-tee-adult.html Whisper it but I really love the yellow and red/claret combo. It's very unusual...I'm not sure I can think of a club that has it as a home colour palette? The stripes version from 1899/1900 is lovely. I'm not advocating a switch from red/white, but an away shirt in claret and yellow...that would be a "nod" to the past I could enjoy. 1

They've moved it. They've replaced it in this shirt with a different design. But the official badge/crest is the same. I believe that in the spirit of communication and consideration they should have consulted or at least notified fans - possibly via the SC&T - of the proposed change. They didn't. They have recognised that error and have said they'll consider their communication in future. As to new owners or holding new owners to account. Without board representation or a significant shareholding in the Club there is very little that the SC&T can truly do other than write letters, have calls, and generally talk about stuff with the Club. That has all been happening. The SC&T also support the recommendations of the fan led review, the White Paper on the future of football, and support the introduction of an independent regulator for English football. Hopefully through supporting that we can indirectly hold the Club to account and can ensure, so far as possible, that any future investor/owner of Bristol City is responsible and looks after our Club for the benefit of the Club and it's supporters. As I mentioned above, you can join the SC&T for £1 a month and every member who joins helps to build the credibility of the SC&T and so increases their ability to "hold the club to account". Can I play devil's advocate here Why would anyone want to pay to join an "organisation" that is not recognised by the club, have no clout to do anything and just accepts weak apologies that the club will tell them more in the future, they won't! On what basis do you assert the club does not recognise SC&T? Why did it sign a memorandum of understanding with SC&T if that is the case?

So firstly, the SC&T is recognised by the Club. As just three examples: i) there's a signed memorandum of understanding between the SC&T and the Club, ii) they're in partnership setting up the Heritage Archive and Trust, and iii) run the end of season awards together. On each of those things the SC&T has negotiated and powers and rights with the Club. They've not just accepted excuses. The awards process this season were particularly...debated...and a compromise was reached. Secondly, is there another fans group better recognised and with more "clout"? If so I'd love to hear about them. Thirdly, I find the best way to join an organisation is to join it, help it, and debate it's attitude and try to lobby it to change. The SC&T is open to all and in my personal experience is very welcoming.

Red_Alligator
Red shirt and white shorts home kit, white shirt / red or black shorts away. Badge featuring robin, suspension bridge and probably ball (you know what I mean!!). Simple. No more nonsense. Now I feel better. Thank you for your considered articulate reply, I have just 2 points for clarification if ok I don't believe there is another fans group with more clout as I don't believe the club wants this in any way shape or form Surely if you have regular Comms and debate the badge should have been at the forefront of these? Males will peck at rivals’ napes to sever their spinal cords; 10% of all adult robin deaths are robin-on-robin, red-on-red incidents. It’s a bird you get on a card from your Nan at Christmas. We have a regular one in our garden and it shits it’s pants every time we open the back door.
