Fordy62
I don’t think the half has been quite as bad as some have made out. Final ball lacking but hardly a one sided half. This isn’t the Birmingham of old. This is a decent team with very good players. They’ll be there or there about come April. 4 Quote Link to comment
ChippenhamRed
I’m not at the game but based on what I’ve read: we’ve just received £25,000,000. It sounds like we might have some good reasons to spend some of it. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

BasSavage88
We are still yet to have a shot on target in the first half of a league match 1 Quote Link to comment
IThinkThatOnesRooney
Sounds like once again we're playing all the right players but not necessarily in the right places, to paraphrase Eric Morecombe. Quote Link to comment

He has, but we need someone, whether that's him or Bell or whoever, to be more than a 'nuisance' and to be a genuine goalscoring threat. Quote Link to comment
Leveller
Pretty even I thought. Both sides cautious but they threatened slightly more than us. 2 Quote Link to comment
Red_Alligator
Some over reactions, as per usual on here. However, do we look like scoring twice? Not on that showing I'm afraid. 3 Quote Link to comment

nickolas
This was a 0-0 game all day long. Weve gifted them a goal now so lets see how Nige can generate some urgency into our play. Quote Link to comment
YorkshireSection
The loss of Scott is more apparent than ever, there's nothing to link the play, no single way of bringing the ball forward from defence to midfield. On the plus side we have Conway to come back, that maybe the answer but probably only if we go long and bypass midfield, unless we sign an attacking midfielder who can link play and carry the ball forward, we may need whodini to find one we can afford though. Its only one half though.... 1 Quote Link to comment

Would make sense if we played good through passes on the deck for a speedy forward to run onto. Can't remember us doing this at home for years. Mostly high punts or balls down the wings. Doesn't seem to add up. 1 Quote Link to comment

Only 'slightly more'? They had 4 shots on target to our zero and one of theirs was a goal and another one should have been. 3 Quote Link to comment
George Rs
Was about to say it feels like an overreaction, but against similar quality opposition we seem to lose all skill and composure in the final third. Looked clinical and ruthless against Oxford. On the other hand, Birmingham look quality to be fair, can see them going places this season if they don’t get too many injuries. Quote Link to comment
TomThumb84
Not really sure what we expected here. Some good summer business will make us hard to break down but as far as I can tell, playing without any recognised or specialist attacking midfield players or centre forwards in a team is likely to result in very few goals. Who knew. Edited August 19, 2023 by TomThumb84 1 Quote Link to comment

LondonBristolian
I think, once again, we're pretty much learning what we know already. We're hard-working and industrious, tough to break down but lacking the guile and creativity to break down others. I feel we potentially need to get Naismith and Roberts involved in the game but - whilst injuries are a factor - we need to bring in someone who can offer a spark of creativity in midfield. None of that is surprising though and I certainly don't think it is anywhere near the disaster some are making it how to be. However it does show that we still need to do some work in the transfer market over the next two weeks. Quote Link to comment

downendcity
Our possession play is ok, but it's too ponderous, so Brum have time to get back into shape and crowd us out. They then just said air for our inevitable missed pace or poor control and quickly putus under pressure . Quote Link to comment
