Just me that thought she was awful then. Spent most of her time giggling like a school child. I’d had a long day and was driving back from work so might just be me.

She new?

No, not just you, but radio bris have now ticked that BBC box

Oh duck off. We have just come out a Women's World Cup that showed there is equal interest in the game across the world, yet you still want to cling to your misogynistic little area where the ladies drink a small glass of wine and spend their lives in the kitchen.

Shocking.

Did she put the kettle on at half-time?

Don't think it was a box ticking exercise at all. She's learnt her trade covering Yeovil and now she's got the chance to cover a City game. Suspect she will be back to Yeovil on Saturday, but I think she took her opportunity well, and I would listen to her covering a City game again (whereas some commentators I'd gladly turn off - which is OK on TV as you can watch without sound, but a bit difficult if you are listening on the radio)

I found it hard to follow the play from her commentary on RB. My pet hate - she didn't tell us which way teams were kicking. Maybe in a minority here but I like to picture it in my head.

Also found she went quiet quite often and I had no idea what was happening. Not great imo.

Wasn't listening, but to be fair to her, Radio Bristol commentators have been doing that for decades.

Phil Tottle was one of the worst culprits.

As a former radio presenter and training officer specialising in interview techniques (and now podcaster) what I liked was how Sheridan seemed more measured and relaxed in her commentary style. Like we would all be in our first few months of commentating,  Sheridan has lost that high treble excitedness and relied instead of using decent words to paint the action on the pitch.

She clearly demonstrated to me that she loves the game and knew her stuff about our players (and theirs). Sheridan also kept her opinions to a minimum as opposed to others who think they've played at the highest level and know more about the game than say Gary Owers.

If you're reading this Sheridan, well done. Hope to hear you again soon when BCFC are playing.

Not equal interest, no where near! Do you work for the BBC?

Only one wine though as they are designated drivers!

Some that I remember was -

Cornick down holding his ankle but he gets up *giggle*
Physios come on the pitch but walk off *giggle*
Pearson keeps his cards to his chest *giggle*

Can I say how good Sheridan Robins was last night as the commentator on Radio Brizz? I can?

Sheridan Robins was last good last night as the commentator on Radio Brizz. She never got flustered and joined in with Gary Owers' banter.

Yes I thought she was very good as well

Thought she did a decent job. Less excitable than when she covers Yeovil and explained what was happening pretty well. Minor criticism could be that there needs to give more names of players with the ball and where they are on the pitch but it is minor and there are far far worse than her that have covered City. Finally, thought she connected with Gary Owers really well.

She was on Radio 5 Saturday covering the Southampton game - or at least the updates that get piped in to Chappers - so clearly she wasn’t on last night for just local radio “box ticking” and is regarded within BBC Sport. No issue with her being used on commentary or summaries for us or anyone else.

Sometimes people just take a side for other reasons than actual spoken content…

Living in Somerset myself, I have had to listen to her numerous times over the last couple of years. She has been the commentator on all of Yeovil’s games.

She is 100% not the sort of commentator I want to listen to, I can’t handle the screeching voice, it drives me nuts.

Oh dear Portland, don't you know you HAVE to say these women are good otherwise you'll be deemed sexist!
