Ultimately, a one goal loss at both Leicester and Leeds maybe flattering overall, but if you battle away there is always a chance.

O well. Leeds deserves it, but ok overall. Not rolled over in either and maybe on another day could have stole something.

Disappointing always to lose, but far from shamed. Good time for a break for us.

Decent effort that sadly subs didn't influence the game at all. Played pretty well though

Unfortunately, I worry that this thought process is far too embedded within the club and fanbase.

Luton, Bournemouth, Wigan, Barnsley, etc didn't seem to think that they should just be happy as a midtable Championship team, but apparently the biggest club in the 7th biggest city in England, who are one of the better teams in the division in terms of attendances, can't expect to ever be better than average.

In the grand scheme of things, there's absolutely no reason why we can't achieve just as much as almost any other Championship club.

FT 2-1. Played fairly well overall, but neither Bell or Mehmeti could get any change out of their 17 year old full-back. Wells going off early didn't help either.

No shame in that result today, Leeds will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. The games against the likes of Leicester and Leeds wont be the ones that define our season.

Well I would have expected us to get beaten by more than a goal away to Leicester and Leeds and not be as competitive.

Some mistakes to learn from but to put a positive spin on it, probably two of the hardest away games behind us now.

Weve been disappointing 2nd half. Had something to hang on at 1-1 but very little composure in the ball . Caught in possession way too many times when we could have got through them. I know it was a close game but 2nd half very poor football from us. Subs didn’t work either and was a shame to see Tgh not shifted into midfield with the changes.

Two soft goals conceded.  That’s 6 in 8 days.  At least we didn’t fold as previous City teams have in the past at Elland Road

Down to 14th but only 3 points off the play offs.  Crazy league.

Cornick is absolute tripe! 9 months here now and he’s not improved or shown any reason why he should be ahead of any of our other strikers

Cannot fault the effort, but lack quality. And the defence and keeper are still not there. How we miss Vyner. A new keeper a MUST in Jan. worth an extra number of points.

Wow what a brilliant game. Battling performance. Two poor goals conceded in the end. More than enough to be positive about. Much more favourable block of games coming up than what we’ve had between these two international breaks.

Thought we did ok, odd performance from MO’L,a couple of good saves, and then a really soft one to concede. Didn’t think we were totally outclassed, they worked hard, just not quite enough quality when it mattered.

Two nasty trips to Yorkshire, three points so not too shabby. I suspect most would have been happy if we`d drawn both.

Oue best player in the second half last Saturday but reverted to total shit this week. Doesn't fit in with the team

What do we take from this?

 

Need another goalie to compete with Max

Cornick and Mehmeti not going to deliver for us.

Williams also is not consistent enough, plus temperament?

We  miss Atkinson and Vyner enormously 

We need another scoring forward as well as TC

Still need a commanding centre half

Not much glory in being a Leeds fan any more, other than the “6 points a season from Bristol City” trophy

A negative result, but great effort from the lads, especially for the defensive work done. There were some good attacking moments in the second half too, but we lacked a bit of quality and some subs were not so effective. Max could have done better for their second goal but he made also some good saves.

I thought we did well in the second half, without threatening their goal as much as we would have wanted.

About what I expected tbh. Couple of seasons ago at Leicester especially we might have crumbled.

Midtableish after 11 games having played some difficult games yeah about par...

The top two are probably a lock for Parachute clubs, albeit Ipswich have somewhat of a head start, many sides will have aspirations of the playoffs.

Pre FFP, pre Parachutes being as decisive. I sort of take your point but you have to look at each case individually then analyse from there.
