Manning's only been at Oxford about 8 months, staving off the threat of relegation last season and taking them to 2nd in the table now.

Evidently a promising young manager and would certainly seem to fit the bill as far as the Lansdowns/Tinnion are concerned, but very inexperienced and a huge gamble.

He wouldn’t last ten minutes in the Championship.

Way out of his depth

LJ Mk II.

I truly cannot stand more of that shit. I’m only just recovering from LJ’s years of absolute bollocks.  It’s going to be him isn’t it………

Really? They created several good chances first half and had they taken them it could have been a very different evening.

People should also note the bit at the bottom about potentially someone from the continent...

You said yesterday that you had the new guy down to 2 or 3 , would Manning and someone from the continent be amongst them ?

Wondering as had heard something similar , true or otherwise, yesterday

Yep would be my pick.

He's in work and doing a good job unlike some of the names touted recently.

Honestly I’d be all over this. Excellent coach, Oxford played really really good stuff against us at AG in august.

However….he is quite boring in press conference. So pick your poison.

I mean Pearson waffled on so not much change there.

No strong feelings on this one either way. Would rather Nige.

It's a big risk. He's shown he's capable of picking up points and making play-offs, albeit in League 1. Sounds like he plays exciting football which is nice, though I don't mind a gritty defensive manager that gets results myself.

I dunno. I'll back whoever comes in, but my god will they have a job on their hands.

Do the people comparing him to Lee Johnson just mean he's young and talks about football tactics? Because that doesn't strike me as a problem. (Also, Johnson had many faults but people talk about him like he relegated us when he actually got sacked for failing to make the playoffs).
