What’s the story Ross McCrorie

Enjoyed his match analysis today.

Does anyone know the nature of the injury that has forced him out for this long?  Early on in the season Nige talked about a bacterial infection suffered during an operation, but since then the story seems to have changed to a physical injury.  Anyone know the truth?

The infection he suffered was one which started eating away at his ligaments and muscle. So he had a lot of wastage and needed to rebuild the lot!! Not nice.

I believe some surgery was required to cut away some of the damaged area. It was very invasive and required a specialist team, hence what seemed like a long delay in treatment.

Do you disagree it’s a good use of £2 million?

Regardless of its unfortunate, we’ve not seen him on the pitch for 1 minute so it’s not been a good use of money.

I would stop labouring the point, it's a pretty weird one.

Nothing anyone can do or could have foreseen

Yeah, we sign a bloke on a 4 year deal but he gets hit with a truly horrific bacterial issue, that absolutely no one has any control over, that means he’ll miss about 10% of that contract length, let’s just release him, admit he’s a total waste of money and call it a day.

Who said release him and call it a day?

So far it has been a waste of money? I’m amazed you think differently.

He may turn out amazing, he may never play again.

As it stands today it has been a waste of £2 million. It’s no-one’s fault and couldn’t be avoided but it’s a fact.

You didn’t say so far. You said a waste. The bloke has 3.5 years of playing for us left, minimum, and has been through the ******* ringer health wise. All while living in a new city all by himself.  Give him a ******* break.

Think they should retire the number 2 shirt, because it’s jinxed.

Last season’s wearer of it Kane Wilson didn’t start a single league game, the previous season Danny Simpson did & he only started 2.

McCrorie was incredibly unlucky as to how this all occurred & completely blameless, not sure that is true of everyone who was at the club then.
