Ex football Manager Joe Kinnear has passed away

Sad, but I must admit I thought (assumed) he had died years ago.

He was a great player for Tottenham, but I feel he let himself down a bit with his escapades at Newcastle.

Maybe his illness was starting to kick in at this time. Who knows ?

Always liked him TBH.

In the days of uncovered wickets he earned his "deadly" nickname.

Always remember this photo with every player on the pitch in shot.

My all time Cricket hero. I too bowled left handed and was almost as good as Deadly until I released the ball.

He could bat as well.....

I seem to remember (still at school) Underwood and Snow then Higgs batting forever to save  a test, not sure who against .

Isn't this from the classic ashes test when rain stopped play on the last day (Oval)? They resumed with only 30 odd minutes to go and Deadly did the rest. Bowled the Aussies all out.
