If he can let’s make sure we all give him a barrel of abuse when he doesn’t score 3 a game even though we have no one making chances for him.

Let’s be honest here. He’s a conference player at best and far worse than literally every single player in England who hasn’t come through our youth system.

Steve blessings be upon him Cotterill FGR 1up against Wrexham. They’ll give him the freedom of Nailsworth of he pulls an escape off.

If Vince had appointed him instead of that moron Deeney I reckon they’d already be safe.

It’s a bit of a Gloucestershire theme between FGR and Cheltenham. If both beat relegation, I can be magnanimous enough to not only praise Cotts, but also briefly overlook one of his previous managerial posts and even applaud Darrell Clarke.

It’s always positive when a City loanee does well at whatever club they’re at but it’s worth remembering that they’re invariably playing in the lower leagues.essentially to gain experience of playing competitive mens football.

No need to get too excited about Seb scoring another goal but it’ll do his confidence no end of good.

Should be in the squad right now, another pathway being blocked by manning

I am really struggling to understand this viewpoint that Manning is blocking the pathway.  there are plenty of valid concerns about how things are going,  without making ones up.

Seb - can't blame this one on Manning, he was loaned out when Pearson was in charge

Yeboah was in the squad due to injury issues within the squad at the start of the season. He did not look up to the pace  of the Championship at that time. this is not a knock on the lad as he is 17! he needs to experience mans football. Hopefully he does well then and can get a loan into the football league next season IMO, then maybe at the ripe old age of 19 he might be read for the 1st team squad!

Most players go out on loan to experience men's football before making it into our first team, the only exception has been Alex Scott who lets be honest is a generational talent.

Conway went to Bath on loan, Semenyo - Newport & Sunderland, Bell - Grimsby, even Zak, Max and  Cam have all had quite a few  each before establishing themselves in the first team

Another promising career being kindled by Brian Tinnion!

no one has ever disputed Tinnion has done a great job with the academy their are concerns over whether he is qualified to oversee the entire footballing operation of a championship team as he currently he is. the biggest test he has had so far in this role was the Pearson sacking and Manning appointment and it is fair to say this was not handled in the most professional way nor has the appointment really improved us as a team

Don’t worry, I was very much joking based on other baseless comments about me manning “blocking the pathway”

So you honestly think that if Medube wasn't here and Bell now injured that there wouldn't be a place for a pacy 17 Yr old with Championship experience on the bench.

Mebude should be further on in his ability/education then EY but is also young and presumably hungry to prove something and we do need to still sign players for the first team as this is just a fact of football. Early showings suggest he might not be the “the one” but willing to give him more time but that would be the thinking, he really will be further forward on his journey even if first showings haven’t demonstrated that.

EY has had that time and that has shown he clearly needs more game time and experience so loan makes perfect sense at another level to acclimatise to men’s football where the pressures might not be so great.

the way I see loan signings like twine and mebude is not a blocking of the pathway but a case of, yes you hope and plan that they will strengthen you in the mean time but it gives you a example of what type of player you might want on a perm and how that fits in the system. So for example with twine - great he works in that system so let’s get twine or similar for next year. Same with mebude. And this covers transfers or picking from the academy, I hope after some more first team football it is EY

Never an exact science though when factors like injury come in to play of course. Mebude can’t be as bad as he was against QPR so let’s see how that improves

He's probably better than Conway right now.
