The clubs from Sheff Wednesday up to say QPR have 38 / 39 points. These clubs win roughly 1 point per game. There are 10 games left. On average a couple of them might get to around 48 points.

The goal difference of those teams though suggests that they will stay roughly where the currently are.

Form wise, only Wednesday's (I hope they stay up) and QPR's show they are doing better than those around them. Our current form is a nightmare but thank god for the points won under Nigel.

I reckon we need 3 or 4 points. We aren't going down!

Rotherham are done.

Sheffield Wednesday's resurgence is impressive and I hope they make it.

Of the rest, I'd like Stoke and Birmingham to go down.

Don’t think we’re in any position to be starting threads like this tbh

54 points to stay up,

Both those teams are getting results now where as we aren't,

That's the worry

not a chance it will be that high

I’d be worried if it was just Wednesday and QPR between us and Rotherham but there’s 7 other teams too. They've all got to continue to pick up more points than us as well.

I think we’ll be a 3-5 points above the drop, which I don’t think will be more than 50.

47/48 points would guarantee relegation.

52 to be sure with our GD worth an extra point.

TBH I thought looking at it , it could be as high as 53 .

A win Sunday would see us on the way, but strange things happen and the sooner we get to 50 the better.

Those clubs at bottom have to get 16 points from 10 games.

When looking over my shoulder, I tend to be nervous and er on the side of worst case scenario .

If you want to think "long shot" just think back to our illustrious neighbours only being in the relegation zone for about 2 minutes that entire season. Until we're safe, we're not safe.

Oh I agree I'll be happier with a few wins for sure.

As far as ‘re-lag-ation’ is concerned, I would prefer an old lag like Colin, Mowbray or NP. If we’re talking ‘re-leg-ation’, we definitely have one foot in the grave (or League 1 as it’s known). I just hope we’re not Manning the lifeboats come April/May.

It’s really disappointing that we’re discussing the points needed to avoid the drop…….where has it gone wrong?………:dunno:

That's a dumb question to ask. Pretty obvious isn't it?

Junior Lansdown and Tinman are the reason.
