pamelam
Clive with the long black hair ? bit of a character to say the least !Used to get on at the centre with a couple of mates from Winterbourne and some other lads from Thornbury.we all used to go to every match home and away back in those days true supporters, me and taffy ran the coaches and we kept the prices to the lowest to encourage the support the price of the coach was divided by the numbers on it normally full, so the big games we took 2 coaches, we started at shirehampton then onto lawrence weston henbury southmead and then down to the centre and collected as many as we could get on the coach, even the driver was a nut case, and always up for a laugh with us lot,one night coming back from london the whole coach load of us got arrasted they put us 15 to a cell and we were all singing till 5 in the morning. even the driver got locked up, the police escort back to london was like a blue light police demonstration.one of the lads on the picture Dean, the last i heard of him he joined the s.a.s. he was a right hard nut,I remember loads of faces on here. and they were brilliant times. Whers he to now I remember when we beat the Gas at the Gate a few years back, I think it was Louis Donawa scored in the last minute against Nigel Martin at the open end right in front of the Gas 'eds, it was the first time we had beaten them for about 7 or 8 matches, me and me brother Garf were sat in dolman block B going absolutely mental, and once we had calmed down, we spotted "Dolly" walking across the pitch towards the Gas, all on his own, stood right by the metal fencing and lifted his shirt to show the Gas his tatto on his chest as he was banging on the railing, it was superb, the Gas were just stood there amazed (and absolutely gutted) looking at him, we often mention that, it was just pure joy.
