EASTEND WURZEL
Taken from the OS "Meanwhile, the club would like to reiterate its stance regarding the Wedlock Stand, first published on August 24th.The Micra Wedlock Stand (East End) will only be used by season ticket holders unless demand dictates otherwise on a matchday.Incidents at the QPR game on the opening day led to six arrests, and a further arrest took place against West Brom last night.Although the club sympathises with those fans who wish to create a better atmosphere around the ground, unfortunately the stand has become a magnet for a large minority whose unacceptable behaviour cannot be allowed to continue."SO CHEERS TO WHOEVER WAS ARRESTED YOU DID VERY WELL
bringbacktherobin
"large minority"How large is this large then!!One arrrest out of what? 600?I work it out as 0.2% of the crowd in the east end is a large minority.

East End Lad
As soon it happoned I knew what it meant. Don't have a clue who he was or was with but he ran towards the West Brom fans when we scored and two police had to carry him, I presume out of the stand. East End Lad
The more I think about it the more it annoys me. What would they have said: 'After 6 arrests at QPR and 0 at West Brom the club remains firm on East End tickets'. As if. Thanks to that ideot who couldnt control himself everyone has to suffer. EASTEND WURZEL
Well, I hope the club or the court gives him a life ban, if they don't he'll be back and at it again...and again....He'll have to go elswhere on match days and his mates can follow him - to the gas dump maybe.agreed , anyone arrested should have a ban, don't they realize it ruins it for the rest of us . it just smacks in the face of all the fantastic supporters in there signing their hearts out and improving the match day experience of everybody in AG. Flaxbourton Red
if he was arrested then he will be dealt with by the criminal justice system.why is the club insistant on holding up its hands and saying"we cannot cope with this, we are incapable of managing our own ground"?its just not good enough.. SUPER REDS
This all being a bit stupid now,if City had done it correctly from the start and erected the fence with proper Stewarding and Policing in between the fans none of these problems would of happened, there was running and gesturing all around the pitch when we scored ,but because we are right next to them we get punished, still dissapointing that one fan had to do it mind you after all that has been siad on here
westonred
Why don't the club just erect iron railings from floor to roof in the East End either side of a sterile area. This would be far better security than the current black netting as at present. This would segregate the two sets of fans similar to the old open end segregation. This way it wouldn't matter how many fans were in there as they wouldn't be able to get at each other and it would increase the atmosphere inside the ground. Frome Valley
I thought that the support last night from East Enders last night was superb and we all want to see more of it not less. Bristol City fc seem incapable of working with their fans and still have yet to answer any hard questions regarding safety measures. They need to sit down with support and supporters groups and sort out what is looking like an utter farce out. How can you threaten a massive sterile area with police?
